Director of Engineering

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain front-end applications using Razor View (MVC) in C#, JavaScript, jQuery, and React / Angular.

Design and implement robust backend services using C# focusing on Rest APIs and integrating third-party APIs.

Work with databases like Microsoft SQL, with a focus on gradually adopting NoSQL solutions.

Create and maintain reporting solutions using SSRS, Crystal Reports, and Power BI.

Design and manage ETL processes and data warehousing solutions using SSIS and SSAS.

Collaborate with cloud infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain solutions on Azure, AWS, and Private Cloud environments.

Ensure code quality and performance optimization through regular reviews and updates.

Work in an Agile environment, actively participating in sprints, code reviews, and team meetings.

Ideal Candidate

Proficiency in front-end technologies such as Razor View (MVC), JavaScript, jQuery, and React / Angular.

Strong backend development experience in C# using the Design First and Code First approaches.

Experience with RESTful API development and integration of third-party APIs.

Familiarity with Microsoft SQL and NoSQL databases.

Hands-on experience with reporting tools like SSRS, Crystal Reports, and Power BI.

Knowledge of ETL and data warehousing tools, particularly SSIS and SSAS.

Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and Private Cloud.

Solid understanding of software development principles and practices.

Experience with Power BI or other BI tools for data visualization.

Knowledge of Python, Spark, or Databricks for advanced data processing

**This role requires Core Work Hours from 8:30 pm to 12:30 am IST (will change as per daylight saving in US). The remaining hours are completed at individual discretion.**

Role: Senior Software Engineer (Ios/React Native)

Location: Gurugram OR Remote, India

Role Characteristics:

Recognized subject matter expert who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the professional field with limited oversight from managers. Independently performs the full range of responsibilities within the function; requires deep job knowledge of areas typically obtained through higher education combined with experience. Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures.

You Will:

• Design, architect, and document the entire system, down to the details, to meet team needs.
• Code robust iOS solutions to solve current problems, identifying and fixing issues within your areas of expertise.
• Act as a CodeOwner and stakeholder in code reviews within your area of expertise.
• Automate unit, integration, and end-to-end testing solutions, working closely with the QA team to ensure seamless integration.
• Deploy and run your code in pre-production to ensure quality before release.
• Develop and maintain debugging tools to enhance team efficiency.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure third-party SDKs are properly integrated and functional.
• Perform and monitor mobile releases for iOS, ensuring smooth rollouts and updates.
• Retire outdated solutions and resources when no longer needed, ensuring the system remains efficient and streamlined.
• Provide operational support for your deployed code and all code within your domain of expertise.
• Identify and address team-wide issues, preventing problems from occurring.
• Coordinate across all business teams to resolve technical issues, mitigate risks, and provide actionable solutions.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

You Have:

• 4-year degree in Computer Science or a related field OR 9+ years of experience in software development.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with iOS development tools (Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C, Xcode, Core Data, Combine, Foundation, UIKit).
• 2+ years of experience with SwiftUI or declarative UI frameworks.
• 3+ years of experience on an Agile team.
• Proficiency in Concurrency, Multithreading, and Swift Combine or other asynchronous programming patterns.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design principles, patterns, best practices, performance optimizations, and memory management on iOS.
• Ability to effectively communicate across teams to provide and implement solutions.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and execute solutions.
• A strong sense of self-drive and technical expertise to work independently and within a team.
• Mentorship skills to guide junior and mid-level engineers.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills to articulate ideas clearly.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to handle edge cases and unexpected issues.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (designers, product managers, QA).

• Experience using React Native (Function Components, Hooks, Redux, JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Familiarity with ingesting and exposing large datasets in the weather industry.
• Experience in the advertising industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• SDLC development of product features, enhancements, UAT/production issues.
• Work with development team members for development of product features.
• Client-side and server-side development.
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and application.
• Write/ design product APIs and write unit test cases.
• Follow standard agile scrum practices for software development.
• Peer review, pull requests, code refactoring and managing source code per standards and ensure quality. 

Required Experience & Skills:

• 5+ years of software development experience using Microsoft .Net technology stack.
• Strong experience in .Net, .Net Core, C#, Entity Framework, SQL server, JavaScript, jQuery, etc.
• Experience in using unit test framework e.g., xUnit, Moq.
• Experience in Web API development.
• Experience in Agile / SCRUM development process.

• Write performant code using core Vue, Vuex, and Vue Router to create websites and web applications

• Ensure high test coverage and low post release issues through effective product planning.
• Prepare progress reports for senior management.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Project Management or related technical field required

•  The Analyst will work with our Quant Research team and will assist in projects to improve stock selection, portfolio construction or implementation.
•  Main goals for the candidate would be around developing smart beta index portfolios.
•  Research on topics specific to quant trading, including AI/ML, statistical arbitrage, momentum, mean-reversion, factor investing and applications of statistics and econometrics models.
