Applicants should have a strong understanding of UNIX internals and should be able to clearly articulate how it works. Knowledge of shell scripting & security aspects is a must. Any experience with infrastructure as code is a big plus. The key responsibility of the role is to manage deployments, security, and support of business solutions. Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• As part of the DevOps team, you will be responsible for configuration, optimization, documentation, and support of the infra components of VakilSearch’s product which are hosted in cloud services & on-prem facility
• Design, build tools and framework that support deploying and managing our platform & Exploring new tools, technologies, and processes to improve speed, efficiency, and scalability
• Support and troubleshoot scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, backup, and restore of different Env 
• Manage resources in a cost-effective, innovative manner including assisting subordinates ineffective use of resources and tools
• Resolve incidents as escalated from Monitoring tools and Business Development Team
• Implement and follow security guidelines, both policy and technology to protect our data
• Identify root cause for issues and develop long-term solutions to fix recurring issues and Document it
• Strong in performing production operation activities even at night times if required
• Ability to automate [Scripts] recurring tasks to increase velocity and quality
• Ability to manage and deliver multiple project phases at the same time

I Qualification(s): 

• Experience in working with Linux Server, DevOps tools, and Orchestration tools 
• Linux, AWS, GCP, Azure, CompTIA+, and any other certification are a value-add 

II Experience Required in DevOps Aspects:

• Length of Experience: Minimum 1-4 years of experience
• Nature of Experience: 
• Experience in Cloud deployments, Linux administration[ Kernel Tuning is a value add ], Linux clustering, AWS, virtualization, and networking concepts [ Azure, GCP value add ]

Senior Software Engineer I - DevOps Engineer

Exceptional software engineering is challenging. Amplifying it to ensure that multiple teams can concurrently create and manage a vast, intricate product escalates the complexity. As a Senior Software Engineer within the Release Engineering team at Sumo Logic, your task will be to develop and sustain automated tooling for the release processes of all our services. You will contribute significantly to establishing automated delivery pipelines, empowering autonomous teams to create independently deployable services. I would need someone with DevOps experience, to ensure that the project is undertaken with the highest standards possible. I have had many experiences where ‘completed’ software after years of development was filled with bugs and it would be more cost-effective to start from scratch than to attempt to find and correct all the bugs.

I have attempted to learn as much as possible, but I now have an opportunity and it would better serve the venture to have someone handle the management of the project to ensure that;

• We choose the most appropriate technology
• We choose competent developers in those technologies
• The architecture and data modeling are clearly defined in a ‘blueprint’ plan
• A DevOps environment and processes are set up and the developers understand what is required
• Proper tests are carried out to ensure everything works as intended
• There are processes for testers to follow and competent testers are selected to follow them
• Accessibility, localization, and internationalization are planned ahead of time
• Security, scalability, and other future probabilities that I may not even be aware of are considered and planned ahead of time
• Documentation and code reviews, refactoring and other quality assurance processes are undertaken
• Working software is produced and systems that enable new developers or teams of people to easily take over and/or contribute new modules or updates in a controlled and organized fashion
• Cost estimates or budgets/projections or use of SaaS, hosting and other 3rd party services and applications

I am more concerned with a professional and world-class organizational system than with any particular type of software been produced as the strong foundation will enable anything to be creating with efficacy and precision.
