Position Overview: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled DevOps Engineer with 3-8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Linux, infrastructure automation, containerization, orchestration tools, and cloud platforms. This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable, secure, and efficient CI/CD pipelines. 

Key Responsibilities: 

● Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines to streamline software development and deployment. 

● Manage, monitor, and optimize infrastructure using tools like Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC). 

● Deploy, configure, and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes. 

● Develop and maintain Helm charts for managing Kubernetes deployments.

● Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. 

● Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications. 

● Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of services. 

● Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS.

● Implement and maintain security best practices in cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines. 

● Manage and optimize system logs and metrics using monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Cloud-native monitoring tools. 

Key Requirements: 

● Experience: 3-8 years in a DevOps or similar role. 

● Linux: Strong proficiency in Linux-based systems, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning is must

● IaC Tools: Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation. 

● Containerization: Proficient in using Docker to build, deploy, and manage containers. 

● Kubernetes: Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration, including knowledge of deployments, services, pv, pvc and ingress controllers.

● Helm Charts: Familiarity with creating and managing Helm charts for Kubernetes applications. 

● CI/CD Tools: Knowledge of tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI for continuous integration and deployment. 

● Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP). 

● Scripting: Proficiency in automation scripting using Python, Bash, or similar languages. 

● Monitoring: Understanding of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack. 

● Version Control: Strong experience with version control tools like Git. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

● Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., DNS, load balancing, firewalls).

● Familiarity with security practices such as role-based access control (RBAC) and secrets management. 

● Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira. 

● Certification in any of the cloud platforms (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert, or GCP Professional DevOps Engineer) is a plus.

Note: Experience over Linux is Must.

• Collaborate with Dev, QA and Data Science teams on environment maintenance, monitoring (ELK, Prometheus or equivalent), deployments and diagnostics
• Administer a hybrid datacenter, including AWS and EC2 cloud assets
• Administer, automate and troubleshoot container based solutions deployed on AWS ECS
• Be able to troubleshoot problems and provide feedback to engineering on issues
• Automate deployment (Ansible, Python), build (Git, Maven. Make, or equivalent) and integration (Jenkins, Nexus) processes
• Learn and administer technologies such as ELK, Hadoop etc.
• A self-starter and enthusiasm to learn and pick up new technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Need to have

• Hands-on Experience in Cloud based DevOps
• Experience working in AWS (EC2, S3, CloudFront, ECR, ECS etc)
• Experience with any programming language.
• Experience using Ansible, Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes
• Experience in Python.
• Should be very comfortable working in Linux/Unix environment.
• Exposure to Shell Scripting.

As a DevOps Engineer, you are responsible for setting up and maintaining the GIT repository, DevOps tools like Jenkins, UCD, Docker, Kubernetes, Jfrog Artifactory, Cloud monitoring tools, and Cloud security.

• Set up, configure, and maintain GIT repos, Jenkins, UCD, etc. for multi-hosting cloud environments.
• Architect and maintain the server infrastructure in AWS. Build highly resilient infrastructure following industry best practices.
• Work on Docker images and maintain Kubernetes clusters.
• Develop and maintain the automation scripts using Ansible or other available tools.
• Maintain and monitor cloud Kubernetes Clusters and patching when necessary.
• Work on Cloud security tools to keep applications secured.
• Participate in software development lifecycle, specifically infra design, execution, and debugging required to achieve a successful implementation of integrated solutions within the portfolio.
• Have the necessary technical and professional expertise.

• Minimum 5-12 years of experience in the IT industry.
• Expertise in implementing and managing DevOps CI/CD pipeline.
• Experience in DevOps automation tools. Well versed with DevOps Frameworks, and Agile.
• Working knowledge of scripting using Shell, Python, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or chef.
• Experience and good understanding of any Cloud like AWS, Azure, or Google cloud.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is required.
• Proficient in troubleshooting skills with proven abilities in resolving complex technical issues.
• Experience working with ticketing tools.
• Middleware technologies knowledge or database knowledge is desirable.
• Experience with Jira is a plus.

This person MUST have:

• B.E Computer Science or equivalent
• 2+ Years of hands-on experience troubleshooting/setting up of the Linux environment, who can write shell scripts for any given requirement.
• 1+ Years of hands-on experience setting up/configuring AWS or GCP services from SCRATCH and maintaining them.
• 1+ Years of hands-on experience setting up/configuring Kubernetes & EKS and ensuring high availability of container orchestration.
• 1+ Years of hands-on experience setting up CICD from SCRATCH in Jenkins & Gitlab.
• Experience configuring/maintaining one monitoring tool.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
• Candidates with certifications - AWS, GCP, CKA, etc will be preferred
• Hands-on experience with databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, MySQL, RDS).

Experience:

• Min 3 years of experience as SRE automation engineer building, running, and maintaining production sites. Not looking for candidates who have experience only as L1/L2.

Timings:

• The person is expected to deliver with both high speed and high quality as well as work for 40 Hours per week (~6.5 hours per day, 6 days per week) in shifts which will rotate every month.
