DevOps Engineer Intern

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Services (Azure Pipelines) and Git-based workflows.

• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using ARM templates, Bicep, and/or Terraform for repeatable environment provisioning.

• Containerize applications (Docker) and manage container orchestration platforms such as AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service).

• Automate build, test, release, and rollback processes; integrate automated testing and quality gates into pipelines.

• Monitor and improve platform reliability and observability using logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana).

• Drive platform security and compliance through pipeline controls, secrets management (Key Vault / Vault), and secure configuration practices.

• Implement cost-optimization and governance for Azure resources (tags, policies, budgets).

• Troubleshoot build/release failures, production incidents, and performance bottlenecks; perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.

• Mentor developers in Git workflows, pipeline authoring, best practices for IaC, and cloud-native design.

• Maintain clear documentation: runbooks, deployment playbooks, architecture diagrams, and pipeline templates. 

Required skills & experience

• 4+ years hands-on experience working with Azure and cloud-native application delivery.

• Deep experience with Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, Boards).

• Strong IaC skills with Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.

• Solid experience with CI/CD design and YAML pipeline authoring.

• Practical knowledge of containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes — preferably AKS.

• Scripting skills: PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python for automation.

• Experience with Git workflows (branching strategies, PRs, code reviews).

• Familiarity with configuration management and secrets management (Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault).

• Understanding of networking, identity (Azure AD), and security fundamentals in Azure.

• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and incident response skills.

• Good collaboration and communication skills; ability to work across teams.

Certification

AZ-400: Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert or AZ-104 or AZ 305 or Terraform Associate.

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Kubernetes Administrator with strong hands-on experience in managing Red Hat OpenShift environments. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Kubernetes administration, ArgoCD, and Jenkins.

This role demands a self-motivated, quick learner who can confidently manage OpenShift-based infrastructure in production environments, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and escalate issues promptly when needed.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes administration (OpenShift or Kubernetes certification a plus).
• Proven expertise in managing containerized workloads on OpenShift platforms.
• Experience with ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD, and Helm for deployment automation.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues in high-pressure production environments.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Quick learner with a positive attitude toward problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• As a part of the DevOps team, you will be responsible for the configuration, optimization, documentation, and support of the CI/CD components.

• Creating and managing build and release pipelines with Azure DevOps and Jenkins.

• Assist in planning and reviewing application architecture and design to promote an efficient deployment process.

• Troubleshoot server performance issues & handle the continuous integration system.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning using ARM Templates and Terraform.

• Monitor and Support deployment, Cloud-based and On-premises Infrastructure.

• Diagnose and develop root-cause solutions for failures and performance issues in the production environment.

• Deploy and manage Infrastructure for production applications

• Configure security best practices for application and infrastructure

Essential Requirements

• Good hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS & GCP. (Preferably Azure)

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD principles.

• Strong work experience with CI/CD implementation tools like Azure DevOps, Team City, Octopus Deploy, AWS Code Deploy, and Jenkins.

• Experience of writing automation scripts with PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.

• GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, and Continuous Integration (CI) system.

• Understanding of secure DevOps practices

Good to Have -

•Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash

• Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Agile, Jira, Scrum/Kanban, etc.

• Experience with Build technologies and cloud services. (Jenkins, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, AWS Code Deploy)

• Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team and management.

• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment.

• Must have a good understanding of SDLC.

• Knowledge of Linux, Windows server, Monitoring tools, and Shell scripting.

Requirements:-

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering,Software Engineering or a relevant field. 
• Strong experience with Windows/Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration.
• knowledge of Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Xray, Ansible, Windows and  .Net. as their Core Skill.
• Strong experience with databases such as SQL, MS SQL, MySQL, NoSQL.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell Scripting /Python/ PHP/Groovy, Bash.  
• Experience with project management and workflow tools such as   Agile, Jira / WorkFront etc.
• Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services.
• Experience in working with Puppet or Chef for automation and configuration.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team  and management.  
• Experience in a DevOps Engineer role (or similar role)
• AExperience in software development and infrastructure development is a plus

Skills and Experience

• 4+ years of experience in building infrastructure experience with Cloud Providers ( AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Experience in deploying containerized applications build on NodeJS/PHP/Python to kubernetes cluster.

• Experience in monitoring production workload with relevant metrics and dashboards.

• Experience in writing automation scripts using Shell, Python, Terraform, etc.

• Experience in following security practices while setting up the infrastructure.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage various resources across different cloud providers. (Azure, AWS, and GCP)

• Monitor and optimize infrastructure cost.

• Manage various kubernetes clusters with appropriate monitoring and alerting setup.

• Build CI/CD pipelines to orchestrate provisioning and deployment of various services into kubernetes infrastructure.

• Work closely with the development team on upcoming features to determine the correct infrastructure and related tools.

• Assist the support team with escalated customer issues.

• Develop, improve, and thoroughly document operational practices and procedures. 

• Responsible for setting up good security practices across various clouds.
