DevOps Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Managing and maintaining the efficient functioning of containerized applications and systems within an organization
• Design, implement, and manage scalable Kubernetes clusters in cloud or on-premise environments
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure and application deployments, and track all automation processes
• Implement workload automation using configuration management tools, as well as infrastructure as code (IaC) approaches for resource provisioning
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of Kubernetes clusters and underlying cloud infrastructure
• Ensure high availability, security, and scalability of infrastructure through automation and best practices
• Establish and enforce cloud security standards, policies, and procedures Work agile technologies

Primary Requirements:

• Kubernetes: Proven experience in managing Kubernetes clusters (min. 2-3 years)
• Linux/Unix: Proficiency in administering complex Linux infrastructures and services
• Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with CM tools like Ansible, as well as the 
• knowledge of resource provisioning with Terraform or other Cloud-based utilities
• CI/CD Pipelines: Expertise in building and monitoring complex CI/CD pipelines to 
• manage the build, test, packaging, containerization and release processes of software
• Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting and process automation skills in Bash, Python
• Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Version Control: Proficient with Git and familiar with GitOps workflows.
• Security: Strong understanding of security best practices in cloud and containerized 
• environments.

Skills/Traits that would be an advantage:

• Kubernetes administration experience, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting

• Minimum 3+ yrs of Experience in DevOps with AWS Platform

Key Responsibilities

• As a part of the DevOps team, you will be responsible for the configuration, optimization, documentation, and support of the CI/CD components.

• Creating and managing build and release pipelines with Azure DevOps and Jenkins.

• Assist in planning and reviewing application architecture and design to promote an efficient deployment process.

• Troubleshoot server performance issues & handle the continuous integration system.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning using ARM Templates and Terraform.

• Monitor and Support deployment, Cloud-based and On-premises Infrastructure.

• Diagnose and develop root-cause solutions for failures and performance issues in the production environment.

• Deploy and manage Infrastructure for production applications

• Configure security best practices for application and infrastructure

Essential Requirements

• Good hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS & GCP. (Preferably Azure)

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD principles.

• Strong work experience with CI/CD implementation tools like Azure DevOps, Team City, Octopus Deploy, AWS Code Deploy, and Jenkins.

• Experience of writing automation scripts with PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.

• GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, and Continuous Integration (CI) system.

• Understanding of secure DevOps practices

Good to Have -

•Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash

• Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Agile, Jira, Scrum/Kanban, etc.

• Experience with Build technologies and cloud services. (Jenkins, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, AWS Code Deploy)

• Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team and management.

• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment.

• Must have a good understanding of SDLC.

• Knowledge of Linux, Windows server, Monitoring tools, and Shell scripting.

Role : SRE

Experience : 4 - 8 Years

• Experience in building, deploying and operating cloud solutions on Kubernetes
• Strong expertise administrating and scaling Kubernetes on bare metal and CKA preferred
• Expertise on K8s Interfaces CNI, CSI, CRI and Service meshe
• Hands-on experience as a DevOps or Automation development
• Demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP, Linux operating system internals, filesystems, disk/storage technologies and storage protocols.
• Experience working with Helm Charts and building out Infrastructure As Code (IaC)
• Experience in writing software to automate orchestration tasks at scale; we commonly use Python, Go, and Shell scripting
• Knowledge of systems (Linux, GNU tooling), networking (OSI model, DNS, routing) and virtualization vs containerization
• Expertise in CI/CD tooling for cloud-based applications specifically Terraform / CloudFormation, Jenkins and Git
• Architected CNF Orchestration with Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of the principles of 12-factor apps and modern containerized microservices
• Plan for reliability by designing systems to work across our multi-region and multi-cloud environments
• Experience developing and using Application & Integration stacks/tools such as Kafka, Spring Cloud, Apache Camel, Kubernetes, Docker, Redis, Knative, and NoSQL

Job Dsecription:

○ Develop best practices for team and also responsible for the architecture

○ solutions and documentation operations in order to meet the engineering departments quality and standards

○ Participate in production outage and handle complex issues and works towards Resolution

○ Develop custom tools and integration with existing tools to increase engineering Productivity

Required Experience and Expertise

○ Having a good knowledge of Terraform + someone who has worked on large TF code bases.

○ Deep understanding of Terraform with best practices & writing TF modules.

○ Hands-on experience of GCP  and AWS and knowledge on AWS Services like VPC and VPC related services like (route tables, vpc endpoints, privatelinks) EKS, S3, IAM. Cost aware mindset towards Cloud services.

○ Deep understanding of Kernel, Networking and OS fundamentals

NOTICE PERIOD - Max - 30 days

• Azure Devops - Working experience in Azure yaml pipelines. (Note – Some say they worked in yaml but it’s for Jenkins and not Azure devops)
• Azure – Infrastructure automation using Terraform/ARM templates. (Note – Some say that they worked in terraform but it’s for AWS and not Azure). Please confirm Terraform for Azure infrastructure automation.
• Powershell scripting to automate and deploy .Net applications.

A strong background in Azure OR Amazon Web Services (AWS) or a similar cloud platform is a must-have, certification is a plus.

Excellent technical skills and knowledge include but not limited to: cloud methodologies like PaaS and SaaS; programming languages such as Python, Java, .Net; orchestration systems such as Chef, Ansible, Terraform; Azure IaaS servers; PowerShell scripting.

Fully aware of the DevOps cycle with hands-on on deployment models to the cloud.

Experience working with Docker and related containerization technologies.

Experience working on orchestration platforms such as AKS, RedHat OpenShift etc.

Extensive knowledge working with logging and monitoring tools such as EFK, visualization tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.

Exposure to security alert monitoring tools.
