Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for development, testing, and production environments.
• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, or others) and ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
• Automate deployment, configuration management, and infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
• Monitor application performance and infrastructure health using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline workflows and resolve deployment issues.
• Implement security best practices in pipelines, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
• Maintain version control and manage release cycles.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Proven experience in DevOps, system administration, or cloud engineering.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

• Integrate gates into CI/CD pipeline and push all flaws/issues to developers IDE (as far left as possible) - ideally in code repo but required by the time code is in the artifact repository.

• Demonstrable experience in Containerization-Docker and orchestration (Kubernetes)     
• Experience withsetting up self-managed Kubernetes clusters without using any managed cloud offerings like EKS 
• Experience working withAWS - Managing AWS services - EC2, S3, Cloudfront, VPC, SNS, Lambda, AWS Autoscaling, AWS IAM, RDS, EBS, Kinesis, SQS, DynamoDB, Elastic Cache, Redshift, Cloudwatch, Amazon Inspector. 

• Familiarity withLinux and UNIX systems (e.g. CentOS, RedHat) and command line system administration such as Bash, VIM, SSH.
• Hands on experience in configuration management of server farms (using tools such asPuppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.,).

• Demonstrated understanding of ITIL methodologies, ITIL v3 or v4 certification
• Kubernetes CKA or CKAD certification nice to have

As a DevOps Engineer with experience in Kubernetes, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of DevOps engineers in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's infrastructure. You will work closely with software developers, system administrators, and other IT professionals to ensure that the organization's systems are efficient, reliable, and scalable. 

Specific responsibilities will include: 

• Leading the team in the development and implementation of automation and continuous delivery pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible. 
• Managing the organization's infrastructure using Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring of applications. 

• Ensuring that the organization's systems are secure and compliant with industry standards. 
• Collaborating with software developers to design and implement infrastructure as code. 
• Providing mentorship and technical guidance to team members. 
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in collaboration with other IT professionals. 
• Participating in the development and maintenance of the organization's disaster recovery and incident response plans. 

To be successful in this role, you should have strong leadership skills and experience with a variety of DevOps and infrastructure tools and technologies. You should also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

The AWS Cloud/Devops Engineer will be working with the engineering team and focusing on AWS infrastructure and automation.  A key part of the role is championing and leading infrastructure as code.  The Engineer will work closely with the Manager of Operations and Devops to build, manage and automate our AWS infrastructure. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS
• Work collaboratively with software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements
• Provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code
• Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux based systems
• Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas
• Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems
• Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization

Qualifications:

• At least 1-5 years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, ECS, CodeDeploy, CloudFront, S3)
• Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements
• Expertise using Chef for configuration management
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure with Terraform
• Solid foundation of networking and Linux administration
• Experience with CI-CD, Docker, GitLab, Jenkins, ELK and deploying applications on AWS
• Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
• Strong bias for action and ownership
