Job Summary :

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a key role in building, managing, and scaling infrastructure for high-performance systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Python scripting, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices around CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Cloud Formation, or similar.

- Manage Kubernetes clusters, configure namespaces, services, deployments, and auto scaling.

CI/CD & Release Management :

- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment of services.

- Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth and frequent deployments to production.

- Manage versioning and rollback strategies for critical deployments.

Containerization & Orchestration using Kubernetes :

- Containerize applications using Docker, and manage them using Kubernetes.

- Write automation scripts using Python or Shell for infrastructure tasks, monitoring, and deployment flows.

- Develop utilities and tools to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

Monitoring & Incident Management :

- Analyze system performance and implement infrastructure scaling strategies based on load and usage trends.

- Optimize application and system performance through proactive monitoring and configuration tuning.

Desired Skills and Experience :

- Experience Required - 8+ yrs.

- Hands-on experience on cloud services like AWS, EKS etc.

- Ability to design a good cloud solution.

- Strong Linux troubleshooting, Shell Scripting, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Jenkins Skills.

- Design and implement the CI/CD pipeline following the best industry practices using open-source tools.

- Use knowledge and research to constantly modernize our applications and infrastructure stacks.

- Be a team player and strong problem-solver to work with a diverse team.

- Having good communication skills.

We are looking for very hands-on DevOps engineers with 3 to 6 years of experience. The person will be part of a team that is responsible for designing & implementing automation from scratch for medium to large scale cloud infrastructure and providing 24x7 services to our North American / European customers. This also includes ensuring ~100% uptime for almost 50+ internal sites. The person is expected to deliver with both high speed and high quality as well as work for 40 hours per week (~6.5 hours per day, 6 days per week) in shifts that will rotate every month.

This person MUST have:

• B.E Computer Science or equivalent

• 2+ Years of hands-on experience troubleshooting/setting up of the Linux environment, who can write shell scripts for any given requirement.

• 1+ Years of hands-on experience setting up/configuring AWS or GCP services from SCRATCH and maintaining them.

• 1+ Years of hands-on experience setting up/configuring Kubernetes & EKS and ensuring high availability of container orchestration.

• 1+ Years of hands-on experience setting up CICD from SCRATCH in Jenkins & Gitlab.

• Experience configuring/maintaining one monitoring tool.

• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

• Candidates with certifications - AWS, GCP, CKA, etc will be preferred

• Hands-on experience with databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, MySQL, RDS).

Experience:

• Min 3 years of experience as DevOps automation engineer buildingg, running, and maintaining production sites.

• Not looking for candidates who have experience only as L1/L2 or Build & Deploy.
  
  

Location: Remotely, anywhere in India.

Timings:

• The person is expected to deliver with both high speed and high quality as well as work for 40 hours per week (~6.5 hours per day, 6 days per week) in shifts that will rotate every month.

• Expertise on Virtual Infrastructure (VMWare or VirtualBox or QEMU or KVM or Vagrant) and environment automation/provisioning using SaltStack/Ansible/Puppet/Chef
• Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing Azure cloud based production systems including monitoring capacity.
• Good to have experience in migrating code repositories from one source control to another.
• Hands-on experience in Docker container and orchestration based deployments like Kubernetes, Service Fabric, Docker swarm.
• Must have good communication skills and problem solving skills

As a SaaS DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for providing automated tooling and process enhancements for SaaS deployment, application and infrastructure upgrades and production monitoring.

• Development of automation scripts and pipelines for deployment and monitoring of new production environments.

• Development of automation scripts for upgrades, hotfixes deployments and maintenance.

• Work closely with Scrum teams and product groups to support the quality and growth of the SaaS services.

• Collaborate closely with SaaS Operations team to handle day-to-day production activities - handling alerts and incidents.

• Assist SaaS Operations team to handle customers focus projects: migrations, features enablement.

• Write Knowledge articles to document known issues and best practices.

• Conduct regression tests to validate solutions or workarounds.

• Work in a globally distributed team.

What achievements should you have so far?

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.

• Experience with containerization, deployment, and operations.

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD processes (Git, Jenkins, Pipelines).

• Good experience with Linux systems and Shell scripting.

• Basic cloud experience, preferably oriented on MS Azure.

• Basic knowledge of containerized solutions (Helm, Kubernetes, Docker).

• Good Networking skills and experience.

• Having Terraform or CloudFormation knowledge will be considered a plus.

• Ability to analyze a task from a system perspective.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
