Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud/DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and observability tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, or Grafana. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, automating, and supporting scalable cloud infrastructure while ensuring reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments.
• Configure and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting using Splunk, AppDynamics, or Grafana.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues.
• Implement AWS security best practices, IAM policies, and networking configurations.
• Support and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve platform reliability.
• Optimize cloud resources for performance, availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks.

At Quantiphi, you will be a key leader within our Platform Engineering team, responsible for defining and driving the architectural vision for cloud-based solutions. You will lead the design and implementation of robust pipeline infrastructure, orchestrating integration flows among upstream RPA processes, the AR tool backend, and downstream systems. You will work closely with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and clients to ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.

Must have skills:

• Strong expertise in designing and architecting scalable, secure, and highly available AWS platforms using services such as API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ECR, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, Systems Manager (SSM), KMS, and Secrets Manager.
• Proven technical experience in designing and overseeing end-to-end platform integration architectures, orchestrating data and process flows between upstream systems, third-party applications (e.g., ERP systems such as BaaN, SAP, Oracle), internal services, and downstream consumer applications.
• Strong expertise in API architecture, including RESTful APIs, API Gateway, authentication/authorization (OAuth, JWT, API Keys), API lifecycle management, integration patterns, and secure third-party connectivity.
• Extensive experience designing AWS IAM security governance, including IAM Roles, Policies, Cross-Account Access, Permission Boundaries, Service Control Policies (SCPs), and enterprise identity and access management strategies.
• Strong experience designing AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK), with reusable platform modules, reference architectures, and standardized deployment frameworks.
• Expertise in designing and implementing enterprise CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline, integrating automated testing, security scanning, and deployment governance.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, including VPC architecture, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Load Balancers, Route 53, DNS, PrivateLink, and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience implementing enterprise monitoring and observability using Amazon CloudWatch, CloudTrail, dashboards, centralized logging, and alerting frameworks to ensure platform reliability and operational excellence.
• Proficiency in automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, and AWS SDK (Boto3) to streamline platform operations and deployments.
• Excellent technical solution design, stakeholder management, technical leadership, documentation, and mentoring skills, with the ability to drive architecture reviews and establish engineering best practices.

Good to have skills:

• Experience designing enterprise integration platforms using event-driven and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of AWS Organizations, Control Tower, Landing Zone, governance frameworks, and FinOps best practices.
• Experience with container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS/EKS, and service mesh technologies.
• Familiarity with enterprise observability platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, or OpenSearch.
• Experience with enterprise messaging and integration technologies such as Kafka, Amazon MSK, MQ, or EventBridge.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability architecture.
• AWS Certifications such as Solutions Architect – Professional, DevOps Engineer – Professional, Security Specialty, or Advanced Networking – Specialty.
• Experience working in Agile, DevOps, and Platform Engineering environments.

• Set up CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and delivery

Technical Skill Requirements:

•Experience in a DevOps role in AWS/OCI cloud environment.

•Must have experience with CI/CD Pipelines and hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as, Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, etc.

•Strong knowledge in Terraform for multi-stack cloud infrastructure provisioning.

•Strong knowledge in OCI/AWS-based Kubernetes service management.

•Must have experience with Python/Bash as a scripting language.

•Good knowledge in software debugging, web applications and services (Apache, Nginx, HAProxy)

•Must have knowledge in monitoring setup with Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, Thanos, Loki, Fluentbit, etc.

Role Introduction

What you will do

• Identify and implement best practices, process improvement and automation initiatives for

improvement towards quicker delivery by removing manual tasks

• Ensure best practices and process are documented for reusability and keeping up-to date on

good practices and standards.

• Re-usable automation and compliance service, tools and processes

• Support and management of toolchain, toolchain changes and selection

• Identify and implement risk mitigation plans, avoid escalations, resolve blockers for teams.

Toolchain governance will involve operating and responding to alerts, enforcing good tooling

governance by driving automation, remediating technical debt and ensuring the latest tools

are utilised and on the latest versions

• Triage product pipelines, performance issues, SLA/SLO breaches, service unavailable along

with ancillary actions such as providing access to logs, tools, environments.

• Involve in initial / detailed estimates during roadmap planning or feature

estimation/planning of any automation identified for a given toolset.

• Develop, refine, and tune integrations between various tools

• Discuss with Product Owner/team on any challenges from implementation, deployment

perspective and assist in arriving probable solution and escalate any risks to get them

resolved w.r.t DevOps toolchain.

• In consultation with Head of DevOps and other stake holders, prioritization of items, item-

task breakdown; accountable for squad deliverables for sprint

• Involve in reviewing current components and plan for upgrade and ensure its communicated

to wider audience within Organization

• Involve in reviewing access / role and enhance and automate provisioning.

• Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team e.g conducts

regular 1-2-1’s with squad members to provide support, mentoring and goal setting

• Involve in performance management ,rewards and recognition of team members, Involve in

hiring process.• Plan for upskill of team to know about tools and perform tasks. Ensure quicker onboarding

of new joiners/freshers to team to be productive.

• Review ticket metrics to measure the health of the project including SLAs and plan for

• Requirement for on call for critical incidents that happen Out of Hours, based on tooling SLA.

This may include planning standby schedule for squad, carrying out retrospective for every

callout and reviewing SLIs/SLOs.

• Owns the tech/repair debt, risk and compliance for the tooling with respect to

infrastructure, pipelines, access etc

• Track optimum utilization of resources and monitor/track the delivery schedule

• Review solutions designs with the Architects / Principal DevOps Engineers as required

• Provide monthly reporting which align to DevOps Tooling KPIs

of the appropriate (ITSM) model and processes, based on the ITIL Service Management

framework. This includes the strategic, design, transition, and operation services and

continuous service improvement

The AWS Cloud/Devops Engineer will be working with the engineering team and focusing on AWS infrastructure and automation.  A key part of the role is championing and leading infrastructure as code.  The Engineer will work closely with the Manager of Operations and Devops to build, manage and automate our AWS infrastructure. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS
• Work collaboratively with software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements

Job description

The role requires you to design development pipelines from the ground up, Creation of Docker Files,  design and operate highly available systems in AWS Cloud environments. Also involves Configuration Management, Web Services Architectures, DevOps Implementation, Database management, Backups, and Monitoring.

Key responsibility area
