
Role Overview
Provide advanced (L3) technical support for Citrix environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of virtual applications and desktops. This role involves handling complex escalations, root cause analysis, and implementing solutions for enterprise-level Citrix infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Escalation Support: Act as the highest-level escalation point for Citrix-related incidents and problems.
- Citrix Infrastructure Management: Administer and maintain Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop farms, Citrix ADC (NetScaler), and Citrix Provisioning Services.
- Troubleshooting & RCA: Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical issues.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and tune Citrix environments for optimal performance using tools like Citrix Director and EdgeSight.
- Patch & Upgrade Management: Plan and execute upgrades, migrations (e.g., XenApp 6.5 to 7.x), and security patches.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop PowerShell scripts for automation and efficiency improvements.
- Integration: Collaborate with VMware/Hyper-V teams for VDI and virtualization support.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to ITIL processes and security best practices.
