Chief Business Officer

 Leads multiple, parallel teams in design and redesign of user experiences across multiple
business divisions.
 Drives creation of new product solutions that meet business goals and user needs.
 Oversees and ensures high-quality delivery of UX artifacts
 Provide career development for junior team members and foster leadership skills.
 Leads and executes the User Centered Design (UCD) process from start to finish, including user
research and usability testing.
 Advocates for Accessibility and Inclusive Design practices
 Contributes to the Design System: publish UI patterns and components, document standards,
and collaborate with designers across the wider organization to deliver solutions that are fit-for-
purpose.
 Performs heuristic evaluations across new/existing products
 Gives accurate effort estimations and deliver on time.
 Contributes to the vision that make strategy concrete
 Supports recruiting processes, engaging with the recruitment team, conducting interviews and
assessing candidates' design skills and capabilities.
Your skills and experience
 Skilled at generating new visual design solutions off the back existing patterns and standards.
 Knowledge of accessibility requirements in alignment with WCAG standards
 Experienced in stakeholder management and cultivating relationships with business and
development peers.
 Experienced in responsive design, enabling omni-channel experience of end-user products
 Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to collaborate with developers and product
leads to balance the needs of the end users against technology and time-to-market constraints

• Develop cutting edge Roku video streaming apps for OTT
• Responsible for the technical design and development of advanced video streaming consumer applications with backend integrations and SceneGraph component customizations to meet the user satisfaction.
• Deliver app solutions across the entire app life cycle prototype to build to test to launch to support
• Keep up to date on the latest industry trends and Device / OS / IDE updates
• Optimise performance and stability as well as non-functional aspects such as logging

Desired skills

• Hands on experience on designing channels using Roku, understanding of the key UI and design principles, and handling remote-control buttons.
• Extensive hands-on experience of creating Roku app custom UI controls, high performing API integrations, advanced state management, cross device support and performance optimisation.
• Complete knowledge of SceneGraph components, XML configuration, handling application events, event loops, threads and controlling screen layouts.
• Usage of Roku advertising component, Roku Ad Library and Roku pay.
• Integration of Roku analytics and Google analytics.
• In-depth knowledge of BrightScript.
• Familiar using VS or Eclipse with Roku-plugins with make file utilities to create build and deploy.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, SVN etc.

Strong unit test and debugging skills

- Build and implement next-generation SaaS applications that includes front-end, BPM services layer and back-end integrations. - Validate requirements and system design. - Automate and streamline existing processes, procedures, and toolsets. - Ensure code paths are unit tested and defect free. - Participate in full integration testing. - Rapidly address issues and fix defects discovered during deployment. - Work with nearshore and offshore teams - Interact with partners and vendors. - Minimum 5 years of system development experience using a variety of the following technologies: ▪ NodeJS, ReactJS, ExpressJS, Python ▪ Web Development: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, SASS/LESS, jQuery, Bootstrap ▪ Web Services: REST, SOAP ▪ Application Design: Model-View-Controller (MVC/MVC2), Object Oriented ▪ Programming, RESTful web services ▪ Working Unix experience ▪ Excellent analytical and debugging skills ● Can take a mock and convert it to a working application end to end (from styling to web services) ● Solid & deep understanding of the full web technology stack (e.g. HTTP, cookies, headers, caching, asset pipelines) ● Solid understanding of Application Program Interfaces (APIs), Messaging Software and Interoperability Techniques and Standards ● Experience with building responsive, consumer facing web applications ● Proven track record in developing high quality, performant, and maintainable applications ● Solid understanding of version control systems such as Git and bitbucket ● Experience with gathering and documenting technical requirements and specifications ● Experience using different development methodologies including Scrum, and/or Agile, and test-driven development ● Disciplined approach to software engineering best practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, quality assurance) ● Work well within and outside the team. ● Prior work experience with startup culture (collaboration, handle competing priorities etc.) Preferred Qualifications: ● 6 years of experience designing and implementing software systems in JavaScript, Python, including experience designing SaaS solutions and services. ● Masters or PhD is a plus ● Significant experience in SaaS web applications ● A history of open-source contribution
