Qualifications 

• Strong hand on experience of Components, Templates, Taxonomy, metadata management, Forward and Reverse Replication, Workflows, Content Publishing and unpublishing, Tagging, Deployment(Maven) and Content migration/ planning. 

• Strong Physical Architecture concepts (Infrastructure) including but not limited to Load Balancers(ELB), Apache set up, CDN, Disaster Recovery, recommending capacity of AEM publish and author instances. 
• Taking a lead in recommending the solution considering quality properties of the system like Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Accessibility (A, AA, AAA), Monitoring (Squid, Nagios, Zabbix, Ganglia, App Dynamics, New Relic etc.), Scalability, Security, Performance and Responsive architecture 
• Has implemented Quality Processes for projects like Continuous Integration (Bamboo/Jenkins/Git/BitBucket/Cloud Manager), SonarQube, Code reviews (Manual and Automated), code Formatters, Automation testing etc. 
• Good to have Mobile App development and technologies, Digital Asset Management products, Adobe Scene 7(Adobe Dynamic Media), integration with eCommerce products like Hybris, Magento, ElasticPath and micro-services based architecture experience. 
• Strong knowledge of Cloud native approaches and platforms including AWS, Azure or GCP.  

• Experience with SaaS based implementation of AEM as Cloud Service and AEM SDK (preferred).  
• Good knowledge with Adobe I/O Runtime and Adobe I/O Events.  
• Good experience with frontend technologies like Bootstrap, Backbone.js, ReactJS, Handlebars, Grunt, Angular, CSS3, HTML 5 and jQuery. 
• Knowledge of templating with JSP, HTL, and integration with MVC FE frameworks. 
• Mastery of all relevant “core Java technologies” with Java 8/11 that are used in most Java-centric CMS/WCM platforms, including but not limited to XML, XSL, XSLT, XSD, server-side programming models, and other related presentation, middle-tier & persistence frameworks

• Lead teams of 20+ people through all phases of Development. Agile development methodology is a plus

Amagi is looking for Software Architects with 8-12 yrs experience in high level & low level design and development of highly scalable software products.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• You will lead a team of talented engineers to build the B2B products and services, as well as necessary frameworks, libraries and primitives to scale & connect our offerings together.
• Architect, design, implement and maintain highly scalable backend systems that can scale to millions of concurrent users in production.
• Derive next generation tools and technologies to support hundreds of high impactful customers on monetization products in production
• Collaborate with the product, business, design and engineering functions to be on top of your team’s deliverables & milestones.
• Timely delivery of highly reliable and scalable engineering architecture, and high quality, maintainable and operationally excellent code for your team.
• Track & monitor team & individual performance, building continuous improvement into the process

Person Specifications

• 8-12 years of software development experience with demonstrated ability to design, build, and deliver complex, successful engineering systems or products efficiently and with high quality.
• Good understanding of technologies and architecture in a highly scalable and available set up.
• Good understanding & expertise with highly transactional, large relational and complex systems
• Strong object-oriented design skills, and an uncanny ability to design intuitive module and class-level interfaces.
• Working knowledge of one or more backend technologies from among Java, Ruby-on-Rails, Python, Golang.
• Well versed with development workflows for distributed systems deployed on the cloud (preferably AWS)
• Establishing and maintaining unit, integration and system test mechanisms in staging, pre-production and production environments

Get “Tech” in order: Help answer fundamentals of technology blocks to be used, choice of certain platform/tech over other, helping team visualize product with the available resources and assets

Connecting Business Requirements with activity: Given that, Head of technology is an executive Tech leader, it’s easy for him to understand the business opportunities which Tech Product could create. He/She bring the perspective of tech as a differentiator. He/She should understand the “Market Needs” language talked by his other executive colleagues.

Methodology: With time, help build progressive learning culture and establish predictable model of envisioning, designing and developing products/ platforms and services.

Architecture Practices: Making sure that best practices are defined and followed by team is very important. he/she may have to garbage guy and clean the code time to time. Making reviews on Code Quality is an important activity that he/she should follow. For example, you build an amazing product but during deployment and testing stage performance is hit, or a bug fixes are taking more time than actual building a feature etc. need to be avoided.

Help build, manage, and validate a Tech Roadmap for its Products. As validation of idea happen with acquisition of users and customers, product / platform / service may undergo transformation on required features set and Market needs. A roadmap to achieve those “vanity goals” for the project, and be able to successfully tweak an approach with changing needs is expected from Head of technology.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Plan the project & Assign tasks & complete them within the agreed timelines with client
• Use PMP tools to manage projects
• Attend client meetings and take briefings
  Help Business teams to innovate and keep them updated with new technologies
• Documentation as per the process – BRS, SRS, HLD & LLD
• Manage a team; set processes in place to facilitate everyday operations seamlessly
• If required, code.

• Experience: Minimum 10+ year is required (PHP/MySQL)

• Extensively worked on Mobile platforms.
