Key Responsibilities:

● Develop and maintain Python-based applications, ensuring high quality, performance, and

maintainability.

● Apply object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and best practices to design and

implement software solutions.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute

to technical discussions.

● Utilize NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB, to store and retrieve data efficiently.

● Implement and adhere to test-driven development (TDD) methodologies, writing unit tests

and integration tests for robust and reliable code.

● Work closely with team members to review code, provide constructive feedback, and improve

overall code quality.

● Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and

retrospectives.

● Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to discuss project updates,

challenges, and solutions.

● Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and acquiring new skills

● Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Python

development.

● 5-7 years hands on experience who can lead architect for features/modules, Mentors others

and ensures code quality, Identifies improvements to patterns, architecture, processes and

handles tough problems independently preferred.

● Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.

Strong Senior Backend Engineer profiles

Mandatory (Experience 1) – Must have 5+ years of hands-on Backend Engineering experience building scalable, production-grade systems

Mandatory (Experience 2) – Must have strong backend development experience using one or more frameworks (FastAPI / Django (Python), Spring (Java), Express (Node.js).

Mandatory (Experience 3) – Must have deep understanding of relevant libraries, tools, and best practices within the chosen backend framework

Mandatory (Experience 4) – Must have strong experience with databases, including SQL and NoSQL, along with efficient data modeling and performance optimization

Mandatory (Experience 5) – Must have experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs, services, and backend systems, including system design and clean code practices

Mandatory (Domain) – Experience with financial systems, billing platforms, or fintech applications is highly preferred (fintech background is a strong plus)

Mandatory (Company) – Must have worked in product companies / startups, preferably Series A to Series D

Mandatory (Education) – Candidates from Tier - 1 engineering institutes (IITs, BITS, are highly preferred)

Job Description:

As a Senior Software Engineer at Stantech AI, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade backend services and APIs that cater to the unique needs of our clients. You will be a key member of our engineering team and will contribute to the success of projects by leveraging your expertise in Python, SQL, and modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications and RESTful APIs using Python FastAPI framework.
• Optimize and maintain relational databases with SQL (data modeling, query optimization, and sharding) to ensure data integrity and scalability.
• Create, configure, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data scientists, frontend engineers, DevOps) to gather requirements and deliver robust, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in backend development, with strong expertise in Python and SQL.
• Proven track record building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices, design patterns, and version control (Git).
