Backend Developer

We are looking for a Python Web Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application; therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

1. Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
2. Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
3. Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic
4. Implementation of security and data protection
5. Integration of data storage solutions (may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.)

1. Expert in Python, with knowledge of Django and DjangoRestFramework
2. Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries
3. Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
4. Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture
5. Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
6. Understanding of accessibility and security compliance for video streaming applications
7. Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
8. Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python
9. Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
10. Strong unit test and debugging skills
11. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git, Mercurial or SVN)
12. Familiarity with RESTful APIs
13. Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
14. Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

Your responsibilities: 

• Understand the business context and build high quality code using proven design patterns Develop, test and deploy integrations required to meet business requirements 
• Carry out unit tests and other quality control mechanisms to inform and validate the code and design

Educational Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science).  

Must have skills: 

• 3+ years of work experience with mobile/web development

You will be required to - Write server-side scripts in PHP using MySql as a database server. Write HTML, CSS and Javascript code for front-end interface. Work with JQuery and Bootstrap. Debug/modify/enhance existing PHP applications. Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications Technical Requirements PHP, MySql, HTML, CSS Javascript Frameworks - JQuery, Bootstrap etc. Knowledge of PHP Framework Code Igniter is must.
