Role

As one of the first members of the backend development team, you will be responsible
for architecting and setting the standards for building our core backend/microservices. Also, you will be responsible for shaping up the entire system for scale and collaborating extensively with the frontend and design teams to create the best consumer experiences.

Responsibilities

● Develop microservices that will be used by the frontend through API endpoints.
● Translate business requirements into high quality code.
● Ensure that the code is deployed in a secure and scalable fashion.
● Focus on code maintainability and performance of application.
● Provide technical advice and assists in solving programming problems.
● Enhance Analytics and overall backend architecture for better performance.

Requirements

● 3+ years of backend/full-stack development experience
● 1+ years of experience on NodeJS
● 1+ years experience in building APIs in a microservice architecture
● Experience in PHP is a plus
● Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudFront
● Has experience managing other developers
● Has experience in code reviewing/being the gatekeeper for an entire project
● Experience with RabbitMQ or similar queuing system
● Experience with Redis/ElasticSearch is a plus
● Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins
● Good knowledge of working with Git
● A knack for benchmarking and optimization

We are looking for a Back-End Web Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your coworkers into the application. A basic understanding of front-end technologies is therefore necessary as well.

Responsibilities- 

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Write clean code to develop functional web applications
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Gather and address technical and design requirements
• Provide training and support to internal teams
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Liaise with developers, designers to identify new features
• Follow emerging technologies

Requirements- 

• Spent at least 3 yrs in a solid back end role
• Experience taking a problem to a product solution (module/product)
• Prior experience working with startups and understand the fast-paced, dynamic nature of work

• Javascript, NodeJS
• Client-server architecture
• OOP concepts, including design patterns
• Understanding of RDBMS (MySQL, Postgresql)
• Understanding of REST API
• Familiarity with frameworks such as ExpressJs

• Knowledge of TDD frameworks mocha, chai, jest, etc
• Knowledge of AWS (Lambda, RDS, EC2, SQS, S3, ECS, etc)
• Basic knowledge of Typescript, NextJs
• Prior experience in fin-tech

**Backend Developer Requirements:**
● Expert in Python, with knowledge of Django Web Framework.
● Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries.
● Working knowledge of MySQL.
● Fair understanding of building RESTful APIs.
● Bonus points for Celery, RabbitMQ.
● Worked with Django application deployment on AWS.
● Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
● Understanding of accessibility and security compliance.
● Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers,
and environments.
● Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python.
● Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes.
● Strong unit test and debugging skills.
● Proficient understanding of Git.

We are looking for a senior web developer who will work closely with an interesting sports-related project. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with Scrum and Agile methodology, should have knowledge of setting up, deploying & maintaining projects on AWS. Additional AWS knowledge of CloudFront, Elastic Beanstalk, Route 53 will be a plus. Experience: Experience in PHP, Javascript, Laravel, MYSQL is also vital.
