Job Summary 

Oracle Health is seeking a Software Developer 5 with deep expertise in Java, distributed systems, and microservices to design and build highly available, secure, and scalable healthcare platforms. In this senior individual contributor role, you will drive architecture and design, lead complex technical initiatives, and mentor engineers while leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve code quality. You will partner closely with product, architecture, and operations teams to deliver mission-critical solutions for healthcare providers worldwide.

Responsibilities 

- Own end-to-end design and development of complex backend services using Java and modern frameworks for Oracle Health products.

- Define and evolve microservices-based, distributed architectures with strong focus on scalability, resiliency, performance, and observability.

- Design and implement RESTful and event-driven interfaces, data processing pipelines, and integration patterns for large-scale healthcare workloads.

- Champion the use of AI-assisted development tools (code generation, refactoring, test creation, static analysis) to improve developer productivity and engineering quality.

- Provide technical leadership across feature teams: drive design reviews, code reviews, and architectural decisions.

- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering best practices in coding, testing, automation, and DevOps.

- Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA, SRE/DevOps, and cross-functional stakeholders to plan, estimate, and deliver complex releases.

- Diagnose and resolve production issues related to performance, scalability, reliability, and data integrity; lead root cause analysis and long-term fixes.

- Ensure solutions adhere to security, privacy, compliance, and regulatory requirements applicable to healthcare.

- Contribute to and help standardize shared libraries, frameworks, and platform capabilities across teams.

Required Qualifications 

-12+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong backend and distributed systems focus.

- Expert-level proficiency in Java (Java 8+), including OOP, concurrency, data structures, algorithms, and performance tuning.

- Proven experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems and microservices in production.

- Strong hands-on experience with Spring / Spring Boot or equivalent enterprise Java frameworks.

- Deep understanding of RESTful API design, contract management, and backward compatibility in microservices ecosystems.

- Solid experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL), schema design, and ORM technologies.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and automated testing in an Agile environment.

- Practical, regular use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., advanced code completion, code generation, test suggestion, static analysis) as part of daily development workflows.

- Strong problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ownership of complex modules or systems from design through production support.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience influencing technical decisions across teams.

Preferred Qualifications 

- In-depth knowledge of distributed systems concepts (consistency models, fault tolerance, resiliency patterns, caching, load balancing, and observability).

- Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) in cloud environments.

- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other major cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP).

• Drive development and delivery of top notch technology solutions to clients efficiently.
• Lead development of implementation plan, logic and modules to embed in client solutions and client discussion ready documents /presentations.
• Lead in designing, implementing, maintaining and updating applications that are often high-volume and low-latency, required for mission critical systems.
• Lead in refining and improving system stability by continuously refactoring and measuring performance.
• Drive development of actionable, clean, maintainable, testable, reusable, extensible codes, including standardization and automation of processes.
• Provide technical and functional guidance to team members through expert knowledge and hands-on support.
• Manage projects, resource utilization, time schedules and deliveries to clients.
• Proactively drive discussions with stakeholders to understand their business requirements, business context and guide team to provide robust actional solutions.
• Effectively engage with stakeholders – create and nurture and deepen relationships.

Qualifications, Skills and Experiences

• BE / BTech / ME / M Tech in engineering or MCA or similar relevant field.
• 2 to 17 years (Junior, Intermediate, Senior Role & we have multiple openings)of relevant hands-on experience and excellent knowledge of Java, Python, SQL, Relational Databases, DB schema or ORM technologies.
• Excellent knowledge and experience of building applications, platforms and services in Java, Python and MS SQL or at least two of them.
• 5 + years of experience of managing projects, team and stakeholders.
• Knowledge and experience of agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and make quality decisions in moderately to high ambiguous work environment.
• Previous work experience in financial services, especially, capital markets is preferred.

Job Description

1. 5- 8 yrs IT industry experience preferably Banking domain
2. Strong Python Skills and good understanding of Java and Microservices
3. Should have handled banking customers and exposure to Production support processes
4. Good in database and Pl/SQL – Ability to write SQL as and when needed  
5. Good attitude and communication
6. WFH not allowed – Working from Bank premises as per bank calendar in Saifabad or Hitech City – Saifabad Flexibility must

Must have skills :

JAVA 8, Apache Camel, Design Patterns, Web Services (REST), RabbitMQ, Build Tool (Maven or Gradle), Version Control (SVN or Git), SQL/PLSQL, Javascript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, Application Server (Websphere/JBoss/Weblogic etc.), JUnit.

Preferred skills :

- Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Hibernate/Spring Data JPA, .

- Experience working on Node JS/Angular JS/React JS

- Working experience on Docker

- Experience working on Agile methodologies

 B.E/B.Tech/M.C.A/M.Sc(Computer science ) with first division.

- AWS Cloud exposure.

- Basic skills in using the Unix operating system logging on, sudo to another ID, navigating directory structures, debugging simple problems.

- Hands-on experience with building enterprise applications.

- Excellent trouble-shooting skills.

- Thoroughly understanding business problems and the business domain, and how potential solutions may address problems and enhance business capabilities.

- Experience in designing/development (design patterns) and testing of enterprise class systems.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.
