Position Title: Senior Software Developer

Experience: 5+ yrs

Core Experience:

• Experience in Core Java, J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate, Spring REST, Linux, JUnit, Maven, Design Patterns.

• Sound knowledge of RDBMS like MySQL/Postgres, including schema design.

• Proficient in general programming, logic, problem solving, data structures & algorithms

• Exposure to Linux environment.

Secondary Skills:

• Agile / Scrum Development Experience preferred.

• Comfortable working with a microservices architecture and familiarly with NoSql solutions.

• Experience in Test Driven Development. • Good analytical, grasping and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Hands-on skills in configuration of popular build tools, like Maven and Gradle

• Good knowledge of testing frameworks such as JUnit.

• Good knowledge of coding standards, source code organization and packaging/deploying.

• Good knowledge of current and emerging technologies and trends.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, Development and Delivery of Java based enterprise-grade applications.

• Ensure best practices, quality and consistency within various design and development phases.

• Develop, test, implement and maintain application software working with established processes.

Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s / master’s degree in computer science or information technology or related field.

We are looking for a Developer who is proficient with Node and has at least 1-3 years of relevant experience. Your primary role will be on developing microservices, while ensuring good coding practices and architecture. You will have end to end ownership of the services you develop, to ensure it is robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, and quality product is important.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Integrating and maintaining Node micro services
• Proficient in RESTful APIs and API communications, especially to consume data from and/or push data into MongoDB for Web and mobile applications
• Proficient on modeling applications on NOSQL databases(preferably MongoDB)

Desired Candidate Profile

• Strong coding experience in Node JS.
• Should have experience with microservice architecture
• Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement

Nice to have:

• Some experience with queues like like Redis,SQS,etc
• Experience with cloud solutions like Lambda, Docker etc
• Experience in DevOps and related practices to improve development lifecycle, continuous delivery with high quality is an advantage.
• Deploy server/related components to staging, live environments.
• Some exposure to React Frontend implementation, deeper JS skills

General Accountabilities/Job Responsibilities

• Participation in the requirements analysis, design, development and testing of applications.
• The candidate is expected to write code himself/herself.
• The candidate is expected to write high level code, code review, unit testing and deployment.
• Practical application of design principles with a focus on the user experience, usability, template
• designs, cross browser issues and client server concepts.
• Contributes to the development of project estimates, scheduling, and deliverables.
• Works closely with QA team to determine testing requirements to ensure full coverage and best
• quality of product.
• There is also the opportunity to mentor and guide junior team members in excelling their jobs.

Job Specifications

• BE/B. Tech. Computer Science or MCA from a reputed University.
• 3 -12 Years of experience in software development, with emphasis on JAVA/J2EE Server side programming.
• Hands on experience in Core Java, Multithreading, RMI, Socket programing,
• JDBC, NIO, webservices and Design patterns.
• Should have Knowledge of distributed system, distributed caching, messaging frameworks,
• ESB etc.
• Knowledge of Linux operating system and PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB/Cassandra database is essential.
• Additionally, knowledge of HBase, Hadoop and Hive are desirable.
• Familiarity with message queue systems and AMQP and Kafka is desirable.
• Should have experience as a participant in Agile methodologies.
• Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
• This is not a Fullstack requirement, we are purely looking out for Backend resources.
