Job Description:-

Design, develop IoT/Cloud-based Typescript/ JavaScript/ Node.JS applications using

Amazon Cloud Computing Services.

Work closely with onsite, offshore, and cross functional teams, Product Management, UI/UX developers, Web and Mobile developers, SQA teams to effectively use technologies to build and deliver high quality and on-time delivery of IoT applications

Bug and issue resolution

Proactively Identify risks and failure modes early in the development lifecycle and develop.

POCs to mitigate the risks early in the program.

Assertive communication and team skills

Primary Skills:

Hands on experience (3+ years) in AWS cloud native environment with work experience in

AWS Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB

3+ years’ experience in working with NodeJS, Python, Unit Testing and Git

3+ years in work experience with document, relational or timeseries databases

2+ years in work experience with typescript.

1+ years in IaaS framework like Serverless or CDK with CloudFormation knowledge

Senior Web Backend Developer

 Company Overview:

It is a US based startup founded in 2018 to build an edge data platform for the autonomous world.Rich data in large volumes is getting collected at the edge (outside a data center) in use cases like autonomous vehicles, smart manufacturing, satellite imagery, smart retail, smart agriculture etc.These datasets are characterized by being unstructured (images/videos), large size (Petabytes per month), distributed (across edge, on-prem and cloud) and form the input for training AI models to get to higher degrees of automation. It is engaged with building products that solve these unique challenges and be at the forefront of this edge data revolution.

The company is backed by prominent VCs and has it’s entire software engineering team based out of India and provides ample opportunities for from-scratch design and development.

Role:

This role is an individual contributor role with key responsibilities in developing web server backends for Akridata management plane software that provides a ‘single pane of glass’ for users to manage assets, specify and monitor large volume data pipelines at scale involving 10s of petabytes of data.

This role involves:

1. Working with tech leads and the rest of the team on the feature design activities and picking appropriate tools and techniques for implementation.
2. Be a hands-on developer able to independently make correct implement choices, follow sound development practices to ensure an enterprise grade application.
3. Guide and mentor junior team members.

 What we are looking for:

1. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science with strong CS fundamentals and problem-solving.
2. 5+ years of hands-on experience with software development with 3+ years on web backend development.
3. A good understanding of backend application interactions with relational databases like MySQL, Postgres etc
4. Knowledge of web server development frameworks preferably on Python.
5. Enthusiastic to work in a dynamic, fast paced startup environment.

Good to have:

1. Hands-on experience with designing database schema and implementing and debugging SQL queries for optimal performance for large datasets
2. Experience working with applications deployed on Kubernetes clusters.
3. Experience with working on a product from early stages of it’s development typically in a startup environment.

• Work with the team to develop user-facing web applications utilizing various languages (like Java, golang, scala, etc.), RDBMS and NoSQL Databases, and latest frontend frameworks (including React, Vue, JQuery, etc).
• Assists in the technical evaluation, design, integration (utilizing an SOA), implementation, and support of projects.
• Communicating status to the team, business, and leadership.
• Participate in Code-Reviews

Required Skills:

• Java 1.8 or higher
• JavaScript and client-side libraries (such as jQuery, Ignite UI and bootstrap, Vue.js, React, etc)
• Intellij Idea or any other development tool
• Hibernate/ ibatis
• Spring/Spring Boot
• Oracle 12c and PL/SQL
• HTML

• Web servers like Tomcat, Jetty, etc.

Nice to Have Skills:

• .NET 4.5 or higher
• NET MVC and Web API
• Deployment Tools like Team City, Jenkins, Octopus, etc.
• Experience Required:
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Java experience.
• Excellent understanding of web technologies.
• Experience developing REST-based web services
• Strong understanding of source control systems such as GIT knowledge of creating and managing GIT flows a plus.
• Basic knowledge of distributed systems a plus.
• Strong database skills using Oracle and PL/SQL.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented

Minimum 3+ Years of hands-on experience in developing Python Applications. 
Excellent knowledge of Python and experience in or in-depth understanding of core Python 
Knowledge in Lists, Tuples, and Dictionaries
Excellent knowledge of Python Constructor- Parameterized and Non-Parameterized
Must have experience in core python concepts about data structure, OOPS concepts, XML parsing, XML to JSON, optimizations

Developers should have developed Web Based applications., back end, SQL
Agile and scrum methodology

Should not be test automation, Application development frame work

Excellent Communication Skill

Good to Have 

Django/ Flask 
Strong Hands-on experience in HTML, CSS, DTL(Django Template Language), SASS.
