Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Implement new features and enhancements, working closely with senior team members.

• Collaborate across design, product, and engineering teams to create intuitive and engaging user experiences.

• Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and code issues.

• Stay up-to-date on emerging Android development trends and technologies.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience developing Android apps using Kotlin and Java.

• Solid understanding of Android UI frameworks, layouts, and best practices.

• Experience with RESTful APIs and data handling.

• Familiarity with version control systems (preferably Git)

• A keen interest in sports and a desire to build fan-centric features.

●      2+ Years of experience of Android native development with Java and Kotlin

●      Experience in Android Studio IDE and tools like Android Device Monitor, Logcat

●      Hands-on experience on MVVM architecture pattern

●      Solid experience/understanding of OOPS concepts and Design patterns.

●      Knowledge on cross platforms like Flutter, React Native is an added advantage

●      Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning

●      Proven knowledge of Android UI design principals, patterns, and best practices

●      Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

●      Familiarity with CI/CD

●      Provide technical leadership and functional help working closely with team members

●      Design, implement and maintain application within all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) on Microsoft Azure (or AWS)

●      Independently carry out the activities without much of guidance

●      Create, understand, and validate design and estimates and be able to justify them

●      Applies knowledge of principles and techniques to solve technical problems.

●      Works closely with other functions to understand customer needs and to develop product roadmaps.

●      Translate design and wireframes into high-quality mobile applications.

What you’ll do:

• Dedication to keeping the highest quality, maintainability, and flexibility in code by strictly adhering to best practices and guidelines
• Architect and build projects using Kotlin for Android
• Take all Android technical decisions on high level and low level design
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
• Work with other teams to solve technical problems
• Work with the founders, user research, and product design to understand users and address their needs.
• Collaborate with other developers to set best practices, and standards for development across the organization and help shape a culture of technology-first product building.

Interview Process:

After a technical screening round, we will have two rounds of technical interviews 45 mins each within 72 hours. The first technical interview will be focused on logical reasoning and CS fundamentals, and the second will be on the basics of android and logical reason. If all goes well, we extend the offer within 48 Hours.

Skills we are looking for - Android Engineer:

Must be able to independently design, code and test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes.

Strong object-oriented design and coding skills (Java, Kotlin) 

Solid software development background including design patterns, algorithms, data structures 

Experience with MVVM or MVP or Clean architecture 

Experience with mobile data storage with SQLite/Room or other DBs including no-SQL 

Understanding of RxJava, Dependency Injection frameworks like Dagger 2
