Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Reporting Analyst / Business Intelligence Lead to own and drive

enterprise reporting, analytics, and data insights across the organization. This is a senior,

hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise across the Microsoft data and BI stack,

strong business acumen, and the ability to operate with minimal hand-holding. The ideal

candidate will act as a bridge between business leadership and technical teams, translating

complex business questions into scalable, reliable data models and executive-ready insights.

Key Responsibilities

 Serve as the primary owner of enterprise reporting and BI solutions, from data

ingestion through executive dashboards.

 Design, build, and maintain scalable Power BI / Microsoft Fabric semantic models using

STAR schema best practices.

 Partner closely with business stakeholders and C-level executives to define KPIs,

metrics, and reporting requirements.

 Lead and present weekly reporting and insights sessions with senior and executive

leadership.

 Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and trust across all reports and analytics outputs.

 Proactively identify data quality issues, root causes, and remediation strategies.

 Drive automation of reporting, alerts, and data refresh processes to reduce manual

effort.

 Collaborate with engineering, data, and application teams to align business logic with

source system data structures.

 Mentor junior analysts and establish BI standards, best practices, and documentation.

Technical Skills – Data & Backend

 Advanced SQL: complex queries, views, stored procedures, and validation against

source systems (RDN, Recovery Connect).

 Azure Data Factory: build and manage copy pipelines from SQL sources to data

warehouses / dedicated pools.

 Incremental refresh, parameterized pipelines, and schema replication.

 Data warehouse design: STAR schema, fact vs dimension tables, handling deleted

records and SCDs.

Technical Skills – Reporting & Frontend

 Power BI / Microsoft Fabric: Power Query, DAX, and M language expertise.

 Semantic model design (1-to-many, 1-to-1, many-to-1 relationships).

 Query folding and performance optimization best practices.

 Paginated Report Builder (SSRS-style) for automated Excel and PDF reporting.

 Power Automate integration for alerts and workflow-driven notifications.

Data Quality & Analytics

 Ability to clean, normalize, and reconcile data across multiple systems.

 Strong troubleshooting skills when business definitions and data do not align.

 Translate business terminology into accurate technical mappings and calculations.

Communication & Leadership

 Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.

 Comfortable working directly with C-level executives and senior leadership.

 Ability to lead executive-level meetings and clearly communicate insights.

 Self-starter mindset with minimal hand-holding.

Qualifications

 7–10+ years of experience in BI, analytics, or enterprise reporting roles.

 Preferred experience in financial services or regulated environments.

 Strong experience across the Microsoft BI ecosystem.

Job Summary:

The Planview BI Team is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst – 2 to support, troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance business intelligence and reporting solutions built on Planview products.

This role focuses on advanced BI support across Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, SSAS, SSRS, OData, Dataflows, Data Pipelines, Data warehousing, and Data models. The BI Analyst – 2 will handle complex technical issues, perform advanced root-cause analysis and performance tuning, and work closely with customers and internal teams to deliver scalable BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving data accuracy, refresh failures, report behavior, connectivity, security, and performance across Power BI, SSRS, SSAS, SQL Server, OData, and Data warehousing layers.

· Perform advanced T-SQL development and performance tuning, including execution plans, indexing, query optimization, stored procedures, views, and complex queries.

· Support, develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI semantic models, DAX measures, Power Query, datasets, workspaces, gateways, refreshes, and Row-Level Security.

· Support and troubleshoot SSAS Tabular and Multidimensional models, including processing, calculations, relationships, security, and performance.

· Develop and troubleshoot advanced SSRS/paginated reports, including parameters, subreports, drill-through, expressions, pagination, subscriptions, and export formats.

· Support Microsoft Fabric solutions including Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse/Warehouse, semantic models, and Power BI integration.

· Troubleshoot ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, Dataflows, refresh failures, and data transformation issues across BI environments.

· Analyze and troubleshoot OData feeds, including filtering, pagination, refresh, connectivity, and large-volume data scenarios.

· Support Planview Automart, Datamart, and data warehouse implementations and ensure data consistency across source, warehouse, semantic, and reporting layers.

· Perform end-to-end root-cause analysis and performance optimization across the BI technology stack.

· Collaborate with customers, Product, Engineering, Hosting, and Support teams on complex technical issues and escalations.

· Provide technical guidance and mentoring to BI Analyst – 1 team members and contribute to BI best practices and documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

·      5+ years of professional experience in Business Intelligence Development, BI Support, Data Analytics, or a related field.

·      Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and enterprise data modeling.

·      Advanced knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.

·      Strong experience with SSRS and enterprise reporting.

·      Experience with SSAS Tabular and/or Multidimensional models.

·      Experience with Microsoft Fabric, particularly Data Pipelines, Dataflows, Lakehouse/Warehouse, and Power BI.

·      Experience working with OData and enterprise data integration.

·      Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, Datamarts, Automart, ETL/ELT, and data modeling.

·      Experience troubleshooting Power BI Service, gateways, refreshes, security, and semantic models.

·      Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.

·      Proven ability to work directly with customers and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

·      Experience with tools such as DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, Performance Analyzer, Query Store, or SQL Profiler is an advantage.

• Relevant Microsoft certifications such as PL-300, DP-600, or DP-203 are an added advantage.

Strong Data Analyst Profile with Python, SQL, and data-pipeline expertise, ideally with retail / e-commerce datasets
