Role Description

Job Description

• Work on APEX Cloud
• Extend APEX application to include Single Sign On (SSO) capabilities and security with groups and roles
• Advise on Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) integration with APEX 
• Investigate opportunity to call OAC to obtain natural language generated text for APEX
• Add drill down and click for details links as directed
• Enhance caching logic in APEX
• Extend APEX application to allow for approval of comments by approved users
• Explore on using OAC private endpoints with API calls
• Advise on using OAC watchlists
• Mentor Clients staff on APEX and OAC development
• Advise on APEX “best practices”

APEX Developer

Job Overview:

The Oracle APEX Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX) while ensuring high-performance, availability, and security. The role includes collaborating with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and deliver custom solutions within Oracle APEX.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain custom applications using Oracle APEX.

Perform full life cycle development, including planning, requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of APEX applications.

Optimize APEX applications for performance, ensuring scalability and security.

Create and manage database objects such as tables, views, triggers, indexes, and stored procedures within Oracle Database.

Develop user-friendly interfaces with Oracle APEX components, such as forms, reports, charts, and dashboards.

Integrate Oracle APEX applications with third-party systems and APIs.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Oracle APEX applications.

Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure development best practices.

Prepare technical documentation, including system designs, workflows, and procedures.

Work in Agile environments, participating in sprints and daily stand-ups.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

6 to 8 years of experience in Oracle APEX development.

Strong experience with Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c) and SQL/PLSQL programming.

Experience with APEX versions 19.x, 20.x, or later.

Solid understanding of Oracle database architecture, schema design, and performance optimization.

Proven experience in developing dynamic and interactive APEX web applications.

Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

Experience in integrating APEX with RESTful web services and third-party APIs.

Strong understanding of APEX security features (authentication, authorization).

Experience with Oracle APEX mobile application development is a plus.
