ASP.Net MVC Developer

Responsibilities include designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical business systems/application services and modules. Delivering high availability and performance. We expect them to contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle including writing well-designed, testable, efficient code. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively. Responsibilities: Developer responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Experience as a Sun Certified Java Developer with proven hands-on Software Development experience. We use Java 8

• 6-10 years Java development experience with JSE/JEE, Java-based Micro-services framework and implementation, Spring framework, Hibernate framework, SQL etc

• Hands on experience on Spring boot & SPARK Microservices and OSGi specifications

• Hands-on experience with ReactJS

• Strong knowledge of micro-service logging, monitoring, debugging and testing

• Implementations experience of micro-service integration, packaging, build automation and deployment

• At least two years of experience in SOA & Microservices based process applications using BPM (Activiti/JBPM/Camunda)

• Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.

• Insight of Java and JEE internals (Class loading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc)

• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)

• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC, Spring Boot)

• Hands-on experience with Relational and NoSQL databases (Mongo DB or Cassandra either one is a must)

• Hands-on experience in one of the cloud AWS, Google or Azure.

• Hands-on with Rest based web services

• Work experience either following CLOUD (AWS or Azure or GCP) will be an advantage.

Proficient in using Git as a control system

What you’ll be doing:

• Work with engineering and other teams to build & maintain our database requirements and answer big data questions
• Use your past DBA experience and industry wide best practices to scale and optimize the database services.
• Regularly conduct database health monitoring and diagnostics
• Create processes to ensure data integrity and identify potential data errors.
• Document and update procedures and processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise

What we look for in you:

• You have A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or another related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
• Proficiency administering PostgreSQL
• Extensive experience performing general troubleshooting database maintenance activities including backup and recovery, capacity planning, and managing user accounts.
• Experience in identifying and documenting risk areas and mitigation strategies for process and procedure activities.
• Experience in managing schemas, indexing, objects, and partitioning the tables.
• Experience in managing system configurations.
• Experience creating data design models, database architecture, and data repository design.
• Strong understanding of SQL tuning and optimization of query plans.
• Linux shell scripting skills and experience with production Linux environments
• Experience working with software engineers in a highly technical environment.
• Knowledge of 1+ programming language (e.g. C++, Scala, Java, JavaScript etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge administering MongoDB (Good to have)
• Knowledge administering Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL & Redshift. (Good to have)
