Position Overview: Data Engineer (2+ yrs)
Our company is seeking to hire a skilled software developer to help with the development of our AI/ML platform.
Your duties will primarily revolve around building Platform by writing code in Scala, as well as modifying platform
to fix errors, work on distributed computing, adapt it to new cloud services, improve its performance, or upgrade
interfaces. To be successful in this role, you will need extensive knowledge of programming languages and the
software development life-cycle.

Responsibilities:
 Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug Platform
 Writes code and guides other team membersfor best practices and performs testing and debugging of
applications.
 Specify, design and implementminor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex
enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans.
 Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of
expertise

Experience:
The candidate should have about 2+ years of experience with design and development in Java/Scala. Experience in
algorithm, Distributed System, Data-structure, database and architectures of distributed System is mandatory.

Required Skills:
1. In-depth knowledge of Hadoop, Spark architecture and its componentssuch as HDFS, YARN and executor, cores and memory param
2. Knowledge of Scala/Java.
3. Extensive experience in developing spark job. Should possess good Oops knowledge and be aware of
enterprise application design patterns.
4. Good knowledge of Unix/Linux.
5. Experience working on large-scale software projects
6. Keep an eye out for technological trends, open-source projects that can be used.
7. Knows common programming languages Frameworks

Responsibilities for Staff Engineer role:

• Having experience in Java/Python/Golang along with Springboot, Micorservices, RDBMS
• Experience required: 10yrs to 15 yrs.

What are we looking for
● You’ve been building the backend for web applications.
● You have experience with any of these backend programming languages --
Python, NodeJS or Java.
● You write an understandable, testable code with an eye towards
maintainability.
● You are a strong communicator. Explaining complex technical concepts to
designers, support, and other engineers is no problem for you.
● You possess strong computer science fundamentals: data structures,
algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information
retrieval.
● You have completed a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or
related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.

• Hands-on experience in backend programming languages.
• Experience in Python 3.X & Django is a must. Knowledge of .NET, Java, PHP is an added advantage.

• Hands-on experience in front-end technologies like Angular, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SCSS, etc.

• Experience with leading technical teams and acting as a technical mentor.
• Experience in client communication & reporting to the client-side management team.
• Experience in AWS is an added advantage.

Must Haves

• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems.
• 4+ years’  work experience in  software development
• BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Understanding of operating system fundamentals (Linux)
• Understanding of scalable computing systems, software architecture, data structures, and algorithms
• Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, with excellent problem solving abilities
• Working experience with Kubernetes
• Experienced working with distributed databases at scale

Good to haves

• Experience in developing software using AWS native services & technologies.
• Experience taking a lead role in building and operating scalable distributed systems
• Experience in Agile/SCRUM enterprise-scale software development

Key Responsibilities :

Serves as a technical point of contact within the organization by:

Influencing the product requirements, behaviour and design (Automation Platform)

Driving early adoption of technology, features and best practices around product development

Lead development at all layers GUI, Backend ( DevOps Tools API integration) & DB

Work with a team of developers and testers in a highly agile environment to produce high-quality software.

Design and developing house tools. Also, expected to demonstrate new ideas through prototypes/Proof of Concepts.

Evaluate and Assess newer technologies/architecture for product development

Keeping up to date with emerging technologies/tools in DevOps Space and developments trends to assess the impact of the projects.

 

 

Must have:

Should possess Bachelors/Masters/ PhD in computer science with a minimum of 8+ years of experience

Should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in Products/Tools Development

Should possess expertise in using various DevOps tools libraries and API's (Jenkins/JIRA/AWX/Nexus/GitHub/BitBucket/ SonarQube)

Experience in designing and developing products, tools or test automation frameworks using Java or Python technologies.

Should have a strong understanding of OOPs, SDLC (Agile Safe standards), STLC

Proficient in Python, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems (IDEs and Frameworks)

Familiar with designing and developing applications using AngularJS, HTML5, Bootstrap, NodeJS, MongoDB, etc.

Experience in implementing, consuming and testing Web services Rest APIs would be an added advantage.

Experience working as a Full-Stack developer would be an added advantage
