Join our Engineering Team
We are looking for Front-end Engineer to our team, you will collaborate with other software engineers to drive improvements to our technology, design and develop new customer facing products and interfaces, and build and track metrics to ensure high quality results. If you are
the kind of person who will not be satisfied with anything less than the best, then this role is for you. It is challenging and stimulating at the same time, and hence requires great understanding of the business and attention to detail.
What we want to see in your past experience:
● Must have 1+ years of experience as a UI / Front End Developer.
● In-depth knowledge of CSS, HTML, and responsive web design is required.
● Must have a good understanding of Wordpress, including building pages and layout.
● You must have experience with website builder tools such as Wix or similar.
● Familiarity with ReactJS is necessary.
● Design and create mock-ups and user journeys for various devices, including mobile.
● Knowledge of SEO principles and Google Webmaster Tools.
● Strategically create new features and functionality based on user stories and behavior.
● Agile project experience along with working on Agile tools like JIRA is preferred.
● Strong interpersonal and time management skills are required.

Roles and Responsibilities- VP- Product Engineering
The VP of Product Engineering will manage the 30+ software engineers and managers in the Product department to create the most delightful playing & learning experiences for our young users through our products. This position will be responsible for product strategy and design, process engineering and product lifecycle. This role will continue to transform and drive engineering, innovation, process optimization and operational excellence for the growth and success of the business.
The role will require high level of expertise in-
1. Technical Leadership:
- Define and execute the company's technical strategy in alignment with business goals.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the engineering and product teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring Skidos remains at the forefront of gaming & edtech innovation.
2. Product Vision and Strategy:
- Collaborate closely with the product team to define and refine the company's product vision and roadmap.
- Lead the development of new product concepts, features, and enhancements that cater to our market and vision.
- Drive the execution of the product roadmap, ensuring timely and successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to help in the planning, communication and go to market strategies for new and existing products to meet business objectives.
3. Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams, including engineering, data, and product.
- Provide strategic direction, set performance expectations, and inspire team members to achieve their best.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
4. Architecture, Engineering & Data Analytics:
- Leverage the combined expertise of our engineering team in AWS, Golang, Python, MongoDB, MySQL, Redis, ReactJS, Unity, and REST APIs/gRPC to guide architectural decisions.
- Drive data-driven decision-making processes, enabling the company to make informed business choices.
- Implement best practices for testing, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Lead the data team in designing and maintaining a robust data lake and analysis infrastructure.
- Ensure scalability, performance, and security of Skidos' technical solutions while ensuring cost of solutions are in control.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure alignment of product and engineering efforts.
- Engage with external partners, vendors, and industry experts to explore collaborative opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a technology leader in the gaming or B2C software industry.
- Strong expertise in execution, must have worked in a role of product developer, product manager in leadership positions.
- Must have led a team of 10+ in the past.
- Demonstrated success in leading and managing cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional architectural and design skills, with a focus on scalability and security.
- Prior experience with data analysis, data lakes, and utilizing insights for strategic decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for education, gaming, and creating impactful experiences for children.

About SKIDOS:
SKIDOS offers over 40 plus learning games for kids aged 3 to 7. These Games help to develop creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, as well as improve kids' knowledge in math & coding. To get unlimited access to all the 40+ games, users (parents) need to pay a subscription fee - monthly / quarterly / yearly based on their decision. Our focus markets are English-speaking markets like US-UK-Australia-Canada as well as other European nations. Our goal is to help develop smart future-ready kids through enabling their holistic development and imparting 21st century skills in them.
Experience: 4+ years in a similar role. Preferably managing a subscription business model or a business that has a recurring revenue model. Candidates handling similar roles in D2C brands like ZEE5, Amazon Prime Video, Makemytrip, Furlenco, Spotify, Gaana etc will be the best fit for this role.
Exposure to customer automation tools like Webengage, CleverTap as well as email marketing tools will be a big plus. The candidate should be ideally handling a role with a revenue responsibility. A good understanding of SAAS product environment will be preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who have exposure to both app as well as web-based products – exposure to app based businesses is mandatory for consideration.
Key Deliverables of the Role
The key objectives of this role will be to accomplish the following:
- Enhance monthly subscriptions through re-targeting customers lost in the different stages of the conversion funnel through marketing campaigns focussed on customized offerings & communication.
- Drive customer engagement with the existing product to improve key engagement metrics like daily and monthly active users, number of active days, median session length etc.
- Re-target churned users through customer win-back programs
- Responsible to drive revenue from existing customers through pricing interventions, improved retention for different customer cohorts, relevant customer communication
- Monthly measurement of key success metrics, identify gaps and recommend corrective actions on an ongoing basis
- Have a keen eye for creative designs and drive customer communication through insightful textual and visual communication framework.
- A/B testing on communication, pricing, customer segments and work on a learning roadmap.
- Have an innate love for technology products and find the best means to enable the customers discover the product value on a continuous basis
