Our engineering team is hiring a backend software engineer to contribute to the development of our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and its companion Handy Terminal device, both of which are integral to our logistics product suite. These systems are designed to seamlessly integrate with our state-of-the-art ASRS systems. The team’s mission is to build and maintain a robust, tested, and high-performance backend architecture, including databases and APIs, shared across all deployments. While the role emphasizes strong software development and engineering practices, we also value open communication and a collaborative team spirit.Â
In this role, you will:Â
- Design, develop, and maintain a key component that supports the efficient flow of supply chain operations.Â
- Enhance code quality and ensure comprehensive test coverage through continuous improvement.Â

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:Â
- 2.5+ years of professional experience with Python, with a focus on versions 3.10 and above.Â

Our Engineering team is changing gears to meet the growing needs of our customers - from a handful of robots to hundreds of robots; from a small team to multiple squads. The team works closely with some of the premier enterprise customers in Japan to build state-of-the-art robotics solutions by leveraging rapyuta.io, our cloud robotics platform, and the surrounding ecosystem. The team’s mission is to pioneer scalable, collaborative, and flexible robotics solutions.Â
This role includes testing with real robots in a physical environment, testing virtual robots in a simulated environment, automating API tests, and automating systems level testing. Â
The ideal candidate is interested in working in a hands-on role with state-of-the-art robots.Â

In this role, the QA Engineer will be responsible for:Â
- Assisting in reviewing and analyzing the system specifications to define test casesÂ
- Creating and maintaining test plansÂ
- Executing test plans in a simulated environment and on hardwareÂ
- Defect tracking and generating bug and test reportsÂ
- Participating in implementing and improving QA processesÂ
- Implementation of test automation for robotics systemsÂ
Requirements
Minimum qualificationsÂ
- 2.5+ years of technical experience in software Quality Assurance as an Individual ContributorÂ
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or combination of equivalent education and experienceÂ
- Experience writing, maintaining and executing software test cases, both manual and automatedÂ
- Experience writing, maintaining and executing software test cases that incorporate hardware interactions, including manual and automated tests to validate the integration of software with robotics systemsÂ
- Demonstrated experience with Python testing frameworksÂ
- Expertise in Linux ecosystemÂ
- Advanced knowledge of testing approaches: test levels; BDD/TDD; Blackbox/Whitebox approaches; regression testingÂ
- Knowledge and practical experience of Agile principles and methodologies such as SCRUMÂ
- HTTP API testing experience
