Business Development Executive (BDE) is a sales professional who helps organizations grow by identifying and developing new business opportunities. Their key responsibilities include:
- Attracting New Clients: Innovating and overseeing the sales process to bring in new business.
- Risk Management: Identifying and managing company risks that might hinder growth.
- Market Research: Identifying opportunities in new and existing markets.
- Client Engagement: Delivering pitches and presentations to potential clients and maintaining existing relationships.
- Collaboration: Fostering a collaborative environment within the business.
- Outbound Campaigns: Running outbound campaigns (phone calls, emails) to create sales opportunities.
- Proposal Development: Creating customized proposals for clients’ specific needs.

- Prospecting leads and contacting them to pitch the product/ service
- Setting up meetings with the prospective clients
- Presenting product/ service demonstrations to the client
- Establishing new business links
- Participate in conferences, exhibitions, and industry meet-ups for business development
- Sales reporting and reviewing performance
- Negotiating contracts to arrive at the best deal for the client and organization both
- Working towards achieving the sales target
- Conduct market research to evaluate gaps, opportunities, and alien needs
- Seek new opportunities through networking, cold calling, and social media channels
- Collaborate within teams to achieve better results
