Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Developer to lead the design, development, and
optimization of enterprise-grade databases using MicrosoftSQL Server. The ideal candidate will
also have hands-onexperience with MS Excel and MS Access, particularly in building data models,
reports, and automation tools that support business operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Design,develop,andmaintain complexSQL Server databases, stored procedures,views,and
functions.
Optimize database performance throughindexing,query tuning,and
capacity planning.
Develop andmaintain Excel-based tools andreports using advanced formulas,pivot tables,
and VBA macros.
Modernize legacyMSAccess applications andmigrate data to SQL Server
where appropriate.
Collaboratewith application developers to supportintegrations and data pipelines.
Implementdata governance, security,andbackupstrategies.
Documentdatabase architecture, workflows,and technicalspecifications.
Provide mentorship to junior developers and contribute to code reviews and best practices.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree inComputerScience,InformationTechnology,or a related field.
5 -8 years of experience indatabase development using SQL Server.
Proficiency in T-SQL,SSIS, SSRS, andSQL Server ManagementStudio (SSMS).
Strong experiencewith MSExcel(includingVBA) and MSAccess.
Familiarity with data migration, ETL processes, and jobscheduling.
Excellent analytical,problem-solving,andcommunication skills
Preferred Skills:
Experiencewithcloud platforms like AzureSQL or AWSRDS.
Knowledge ofPower BI,SharePoint,or other reporting tools.
Experiencewith MySQL
Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
Exposure to insurance, consumer benefits,or COBRA domains.
