Senior Devops Engineer Location: Bangalore/Noida This position is responsible for the administration of Adobe’s Engineering Infrastructure Services. This person will be working closely with Engineering teams, Project management team, and IT cross-functional teams. The position is at a senior level and requires a strong knowledge of all applicable technologies is required, but the focus needs to be on AWS, Redhat Linux, Virtualization technologies and Openstack, as well as fluent in scripting and automation languages. This position will require great cross collaboration teamwork skills to coordinate and support other system administrators, architects and engineers. To be successful in Adobe's dynamic environment, qualified candidates must be self-motivated and able to define, plan and implement long-term goals and tasks in support of Adobe’s enterprise and Information Services departmental strategies and charter. Excellent problem solving, multitasking, troubleshooting skills and attention to detail are required for to work in this challenging and dynamic environment. Requirements: 8 -12 years of experience. Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration Coding ability required (Java/Tomcat, .NET, Ruby, Python, Node.js, PHP) Expertise in Public Cloud (AWS, Azure) Understanding of Private Cloud technologies (Virtualization, OpenStack etc) Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalent Application Deployment tools(CI/CD) and their strategies. Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services. Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service Experience in managing application and web servers in a high virtualization environment is essential for this position. Familiarity with one or more version control systems (SVN, Perforce, TFVC, Git, MS Team Foundation) Experience building or managing applications from the Application layer down Understand the complete deployment lifecycle from design, build, test, deploy Chef, Puppet, Jenkins or any build automation deployment experience Database experience (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) Session management (Memcached, Redis) Exposure to security concepts / best practices. DevOps background Responsibilities: Work on critical, highly complex customer problems that will span multiple AWS services Responsible for infrastructure standards which will include OS standards, system configuration, high availability, and server virtualization offerings. Handle day-to-day problems and service requests related to OS, Server and Virtualization infrastructure, Public/Private cloud Operations as a 3rd Level Escalation, perform Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement and act as an escalation point for Level 1 & 2 support teams Participate in 7x24 on-call rotation and maintenance windows Dive deep to resolve problems at their root, looking for failure patterns and suggesting fixes Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our customers' individual needs Drive customer communication during critical events Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for internal and customer communities Learn and apply groundbreaking technologies Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt and change priorities as the business needs change.
