Job Title: HR Manager – Bengaluru Operations

Location: Hybrid (India-based, Bengaluru focus)

Reports to: HR Director (U.S.-based)


Job Overview: We are looking for a tech-savvy HR Manager to oversee HR operations and provide dedicated support for our tech team based in Bengaluru, India. Reporting to the HR Director in the U.S., this role will drive HR initiatives, support talent needs, ensure compliance with local regulations, and foster a productive and engaging work environment.


Key Responsibilities


● HR Operations & Compliance:


○ Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, payroll regulations, and HR policies for our Bengaluru team.

○ Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee documentation for the Bengaluru office.

○ Leverage HR technologies to maintain accurate employee records, manage onboarding and offboarding, and coordinate with external vendors for local HR support.


● HR Business Partner (HRBP) for Bengaluru Team:


○ Serve as an HRBP to the tech employees in Bengaluru, understanding their unique needs and aligning HR practices to support team effectiveness and engagement.

○ Provide ongoing support on talent management, employee relations, and performance matters specific to the Bengaluru team.

○ Act as a bridge between U.S.-based HR leadership and Bengaluru employees, ensuring alignment in HR policies and processes.


● Talent Management & Development:


○ Work closely with the HR Director to support recruitment and retention efforts for tech talent in Bengaluru.

○ Facilitate career development initiatives, including training programs, mentorship opportunities, and performance reviews.

○ Drive employee engagement and inclusion initiatives tailored to the Bengaluru team’s culture and work style.


 Employee Relations & Performance Management:


○ Address employee relations issues, promoting a positive, fair, and inclusive work environment.

○ Support the performance management process for the Bengaluru team, including goal-setting, regular feedback, and developmental feedback.


Qualifications:


● Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or relevant HR certifications are preferred.

● 5+ years of HR experience, with a strong background in Indian employment regulations, payroll processes, and employee relations.

● Tech-savvy, with proficiency in HR software, payroll systems, and emerging HR technologies to streamline operations and support a tech-oriented team.

● Prior experience as an HRBP for tech teams or in a startup environment is highly desirable.

● Strong knowledge of Indian labor law and HR best practices for Bengaluru-based tech employees.

● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with U.S.-based HR leadership.
