We’re looking for a seasoned Mobile App Lead who has built, deployed, and scaled mobile applications, ideally in high-growth HealthTech or B2C platform environments. This is a hands-on leadership role, deal for someone who blends deep technical expertise with product thinking, execution excellence, and a strong sense of ownership.
You’ll define the mobile architecture, lead end-to-end development, and ensure the app can handle millions of users, real-time health data, and secure transactions with high performance, reliability, and empathy for user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Leadership & Architecture
● Lead from the front — architect, design, and guide development of our mobile apps (Android/iOS or cross-platform).
● Define scalable, modular architectures and engineering standards.
● Oversee CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and environment configurations.
2. 0→1 Execution & Product Ownership:
● Translate business and clinical workflows into intuitive mobile experiences.
● Partner with product, design, and backend teams to take concepts from idea to launch.
● Iterate rapidly based on feedback and analytics to deliver meaningful outcomes.
3. Scalability, Reliability & Quality:
● Build for scale — apps capable of handling high concurrency, real time sync, and large transaction volumes.
● Own release management, QA automation, and feature-flag rollouts to ensure seamless, bug-free updates.
● Champion app performance optimization, load handling, and crash free experience.
4. Security, Privacy & Compliance:
● Implement privacy-first design; ensure compliance with data protection standards.
● Champion accessibility (WCAG) and inclusivity in design.
● Manage consent flows, secure data storage, and encryption.
5. Growth, Retention & Observability:
● Collaborate with product and analytics teams to design engagement features personalization, notifications, and retention loops.
● Implement observability tools for performance and stability tracking.
● Establish incident response playbooks and dashboards for proactive issue resolution.
6. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment:
● Partner with backend and data teams to define optimized APIs, caching, and data flow for efficient app performance.
● Work closely with AI/ML teams on personalized insights, predictive health features, and smart engagement models.
● Enable continuous collaboration with design, QA, and product for cohesive outcomes.
7. Mentorship & Team Building:
● Build and mentor a high-performing mobile engineering team.
● Drive code reviews, knowledge-sharing, and innovation culture.
● Foster technical excellence and accountability across the team.
What We’re Looking For
● 7 to 14 years of experience in mobile development, with 5+ years in technical leadership or architect roles.
● Proven record of building and launching mobile apps from scratch (0→1) in high-growth startups or consumer tech.
● Expertise in React Native, with strong understanding of native app lifecycles and performance tuning.
● Experience integrating APIs, Bluetooth devices, wearables, chat/video SDKs, and health data standards (FHIR, HL7).
● Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD for mobile apps.
● Strong command over app security, data encryption, and secure communication protocols.
● Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
