Backend Architect (MERN, MEAN)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer proficient in .NET, Node.js, and MS SQL Server to join our technical team. The candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable backend services and APIs, ensuring system reliability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and APIs using .NET (Core/ASP.NET) and Node.js.
• Develop and manage MS SQL Server databases, including schema design, stored procedures, indexing, and performance optimization.
• Integrate backend logic with various third-party systems and APIs.
• Ensure scalability, high performance, and security across backend systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Debug and resolve production issues, ensuring system stability and reliability.
• Collaborate with QA engineers, DevOps, and other backend developers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Stay updated with emerging backend technologies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core / ASP.NET / C#.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js (Express.js or NestJS preferred).
• Proficiency in MS SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning, query optimization).
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of API security standards (JWT, OAuth2, etc.).
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
• Familiarity with ORM frameworks (Entity Framework, Sequelize).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker).
• Understanding of Redis or message queue systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of proven backend engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Expertise in SQL (Postgres) and database optimization.
• Hands-on experience with OpenAI APIs.
• Strong command of FastAPI and microservices architecture.
• Solid knowledge of debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

Nice to Have:

Professional Requirements:

• 2-8 Years professional development experience.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience.
• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Good understanding of high level and low-level design of distributed systems.
• Experience coding in any one of the following Java or Nodejs.
• Experience building highly available distributed systems on cloud infrastructure will be plus.
• Exposure to architectural pattern of a large, high-scale web application.

Requirement/responsibilities: To take a project from scoping requirements through launch of the project. Ownership of product/feature end-to-end for all phases from the development to the production. Ensuring the developed features are scalable and highly available with no quality concerns. Work closely with senior engineers for refining the and implementation. Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments. Participate in design and code reviews.

We're looking for Senior Node js backend developers with over 2+ years of experience and strong expertise in Javascript based development using Node js and Express. We are looking for cadidates who are go-getters and are leaning towards leadership positions. Candidates must have a proven history of building, scaling, optimising and securing Node js based backends and APIs using a microservice architecture.

Bonus Skill : Experience with ReactJs, Postgres

We would prefer candidates who can join immediately or are currently serving their notice period.
