AEM Sites Developer

Pattem Digital Technologies is looking for a highly effective Adobe Experience manager(AEM) Developer to join our team. This person will utilize best practices and methodologies to design and implement the best solution for our clients. This key member of our team contributes to the entire software development lifecycle including analysis, requirement specification, use case and data modeling, technical design, development, testing, and implementation. This individual will be focused on delivering assigned tasks and/or specific tracks of the solution on time, escalating issues when appropriate as well as educating and leading others in the form of code reviews, workshops, and documentation.

Know your work :

• Build and maintain solutions for AEM (Sites, Assets). 
• Work in Agile Methodology - be part of Sprint Ceremonies, provide accurate estimates for assigned development Stories & deliver on time. 
• Follow Best and Recommended Practices while implementing solutions. 
• Ensure Code Quality, Readability, Maintainability and Security. 
• Coordinate with multiple teams (Ex: UI/QA) for any dependencies. 
• Write JUnit Test Cases for Unit Testing 
• Communicate with customer teams on requirements effectively. 
• Manage customer expectations of response time and issue resolution 
• Troubleshoot and reproduce the technical problems reported by customers and define workarounds. 
• Create and integrate content-driven applications on top of the AEM platform, and integrate with other systems.
• The AEM Developer provides technical leadership with a focus on CMS solutions. This Includes planning, guiding the design, estimation, user interface, people management, issue resolution and quality assurance. 
• Collaborate across disciplines and use their in-depth knowledge of AEM technology to help deliver business solutions for our clients.

What you need to apply :

• Good understanding of UI technologies like JQuery, Java Script, HTML 5, CSS. 
• Good understanding of backend technologies like Java EE, Servlets, JSP, Tag libraries, and JSTL skills, combined with a good understanding of Enterprise Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Good understanding of CI/CD tools like Maven, Jenkins. 
• Good understanding of Code Quality and Security tools like SONAR. 
• Good understanding of Touch UI, Sightly (HTL) and Sling Models.
• Good understanding of AEM Backend Development like Sling Servlets, OSGi Components and JCR Queries. 
• Solid experience in problem analysis and resolution of technical problems.
• Ability to handle clients professionally during all interfaces. 
• Ability to work in extended hours to overlap with North America timings. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in AEM.
• 3-4 years of experience in CMS implementations with Adobe Experience manager(AEM).
• Hands-on work experience on Adobe 6.x versions.
• Knowledge in AEM foundational concepts, including the CRX repository, the AEM platform, the use of core frameworks such as Apache Sling and Apache Felix. 
• Knowledge on latest AEM features.

Responsibilities :

- Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to the back-end

Skills And Qualifications :
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Flexbox.
- Proficient understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as ReactJS
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX framework.
- Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, Github

Responsibilities

• Participate heavily in the brainstorming of UI/UX architecture and feature design
• Interface with external customers and key stakeholders to understand and document design requirements
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Data Science, Product, UX, BD, and Infrastructure teams
• Drive best coding practices across the company (i.e. documentation, code reviews, coding standards, etc)
• Perform security, legal, and license reviews of committed code
• Complete projects with little or no supervision from senior leadership

Required Qualifications

• Must have at least 2+ years experience in front-end web development with the following tools: HTML5, CSS, Webpack, Responsive web design, ReactJS (Components, Router, Redux, Flux, Chart Libraries i.e. Google Charts), Node.js, REST APIs, and other essential features)
• Built and deployed customer-facing services and products at scale
• Developed unit and integration tests
• Solid instruction-level understanding of Object Oriented design, data structures, and software engineering principles

Desired Experience/Skills

• You have a strong background in natural language processing, statistical modeling, and/or machine learning
• Experience with open source projects in a startup environment
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems that have thousands of microservices and manages millions of transactions per day
• Worked on products where experimentation and data science are core to the development
• Experience with Python and API frameworks (Flask)
• BS, MS or equivalent

Desired Candidate's Profile :

- Work Experience in TypeScript, Angular or React, Node.js.

- Good working knowledge in MVC, MVVC.

- Mastery of HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, jQueryUI, jQueryMobile.

- Strong understanding of UI, and usability.

- Familiarity with back-end technologies such as Node.js, MongoDB, python.

- Good knowledge of APIs such as oAuth.

- Basic knowledge of AWS.

- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in web and mobile-web field (Responsive design & development).

- Taking responsibility and ownership in the team's work.

Additional Requirements :

- B.Tech/BS/BE/BS/MS/M.Tech/MS in Electronics or Computer Science from a premier institute in India (IITs, BITS, NITs, etc) or abroad.

- Minimum 2- 4 years of Work Experience in Front End Development.

- Should be a fast learner and a self-starter, open to learning new tools.

- Must possess excellent communication (both verbal & written), documentation skills.

- Flexible and adaptable to change and ability to multitask.

- Ability to work with minimal supervision. Should be able to prioritize own workload to meet personal and team objectives.

- Good interpersonal skills with a clear ability to work effectively to fully understand customer requirements.

- Focused on the timely delivery of accurate results.
