UI Developer

Technical Skills Required :

1. Hands-on development experience on ReactJS.
2. Must have experience in leading a team of developers.
3. Excellent front-end development skills: JavaScript ES6, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap/Flex.
4. Excellent understanding of web browsers, mobile browsers and responsiveness.
5. Experience in UI Build using Webpack/ Gulp.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, Bitbucket, GitHub.
8. Proficient understanding of the performance of web and mobile applications.
9. Knowledge of the Django web framework or Python will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities :

1. Develop new user-facing features, web and mobile applications.
2. Use HTML, CSS, and JS to deliver the front-end of projects on time.
3. Work with UI & UX designers and project managers to ensure timely delivery of code.
4. Work with Backend developers and ensure smooth integration with CMS or APIs.
5. Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
6. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
7. Optimize website for maximum speed and scalability.
8. As part of the core team, you will be working on cutting-edge technologies like Spark, Flume, online back testing, data visualization, and machine learning.
9. All Developers will be involved with the entire lifecycle of the product, right from product conceptualization, design, implementation and mobile app and web delivery.

As a Frontend Software Engineer in the Data Science Team, you will build tools and develop technology that deliver data products to a team of strategists, marketing experts and game developers. You will design, build, test and deploy products which serve a company fuelled by data.

Your Team Mates

The Data Science team is central in developing the technology behind the growth and monetisation of our games. We are a cross functional team that consists of analysts, engineers and data scientists, and work closely with the larger engineering team to deliver products spanning our modern, cloud first, tech stack.

What Does The Job Actually Involve?

• Develop and maintain user-friendly and visually appealing web applications using Vue.js
• Create interactive and informative data visualisations for general audiences as well as highly specialised teams
• Integrate with large, complex data sources and machine learning models via APIs
• Work within a data focused team to increase access to and the understanding of test and analysis results within game development, marketing and other aspects of the company

Your Hard Skills

• Minimum 2 years browser-based programming experience
• A proven track record of programming high quality and innovative web pages using Javascript, HTML5 & CSS3 and relevant frameworks (ideally VueJS but could also be others e.g. ReactJS, AngularJS, Svelte)
• Knowledge of data visualisation libraries and techniques
• Understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous programming, and data handling
• An excellent working knowledge of various database, scripting, and development tools, for example bash, Python, Postgres, MySQL, CouchBase, git, JIRA
• A creative mindset motivated by challenges and constantly striving for the best

Job Description: Senior React.js Developer

• 2+ years of relevant experience in software development building web applications
• Well acquainted with cutting edge front-end framework like React Javascript dialects like ES6.

• CSS frameworks like Bootstrap, Foundation HTML5, CSS3 and tools like Gulp/Webpack
• Strong analytical and problem- solving skills paired with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions.
• Enjoys and gets energized by complex problem solving and ability to push the innovation on solutions.
• Ability to work both independently and in various team settings.

Key aspects of this role:

• Meeting with the development team to discuss user interface ideas and applications.
• Reviewing application requirements and interface designs.
• Identifying web-based user interactions.
• Developing and implementing highly-responsive user interface components using React
concepts.
• Writing application interface codes using JavaScript following React.js workflows.
• Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application codes.
