About the Role

At Ceryneian, we’re building a next-generation, research-driven algorithmic trading platform aimed at democratizing access to hedge fund-grade financial analytics. Headquartered in California, Ceryneian is a fintech innovation company dedicated to empowering traders with sophisticated yet accessible tools for quantitative research, strategy development, and execution.

Our flagship platform is currently under development. As our Frontend / Full Stack Engineer, you’ll lead the creation of a stunning, intuitive user experience—spanning our landing page, drag-and-drop strategy builder, trading dashboards, and internal tools. You’ll collaborate closely with design, backend, and DevOps teams to build high-performance, secure, and scalable customer-facing applications. This role is central to delivering the reliability, flexibility, and performance our users will rely on in fast-moving financial markets.

We are a remote-first team and are open to hiring exceptional candidates globally.

Core Tasks

·      Design, build, and deploy customer-facing interfaces, including the strategy builder, dashboards, and marketplace.

·      Implement reusable UI components based on Figma designs; integrate charting tools like TradingView or Highcharts.

·      Own the frontend development pipeline, including prototyping, implementation, testing, and responsiveness.

·      Implement secure authentication and user management (OAuth2, JWT, multi-role access).

·      Build real-time web experiences using WebSockets, REST, and client-server integrations.

·      Collaborate with backend and DevOps teams to streamline data flow and deployment workflows.

Top Technical Competencies

·      Strong foundation in HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript.

·      Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks such as React (Next.js), Svelte, Angular, Vue, or Phoenix.

·      Experience with OAuth2 and secure authentication workflows.

·      Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR) and modern state management (Zustand, Redux, MobX).

·      Integration experience with charting libraries such as TradingView, Recharts, or Highcharts.

·      Deployment experience using platforms like Vercel, Heroku, GCP, or AWS.

·      Working knowledge of WebSockets, REST APIs, and data streaming models.

·      0–3 years of frontend development experience.

Bonus Competencies

·      Familiarity with Supabase, PostgreSQL, Firebase, or MongoDB.

·      Understanding of microfrontend architectures or API Gateway patterns.

·      Experience with WebAssembly and real-time trading interfaces.

·      Exposure to fintech platforms or trading systems.

·      Background from Tier-I or Tier-II institutions with strong computer science fundamentals, a passion for scalable system design, and a drive to build cutting-edge fintech infrastructure.

• Designing and developing user interfaces using AngularJS/Angular best practices.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years’ experience with JavaScript (Particularly ES6), Typescript, CSS, HTML.
• 2+ years’ experience with Angular v9 or greater.
• Experience using JavaScript building tools like Grunt and Webpack.
• Client-side unit testing via Jest or similar testing library a plus
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs is strongly desired
• Experience working in agile project management methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, FDD)
• Excellent communication skills.

We are looking for an AngularJS engineer to build world-class user
experience while innovating with and implementing full front-end stack. We
need someone who thinks outside the box, someone who doesn't settle on one solution, and someone who loves challenging projects and complex user flow and advance technologies.

Work Profile
o Delivering a complete front end application in AgularJS
o Ensuring high performance on mobile and browser with reusable and modular components spanning cross multiple projects
o Coordinating the workflow between the graphic designer, the HTML coder, and yourself
o Integrate with the back-end developer in the process of building the RESTful API o Communicating with external web services for 3rd Party tools and services integration

Requirement
o 3+ years of experience and proficiency with AngularJS, JavaScript and HTML5
o Deep knowledge of AngularJS practices and commonly used modules based on extensive work experience
o Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
o Ability to provide SEO solutions and optimization

o Writing non-blocking code, and resorting to advanced techniques such as multi-threading, when needed

o Creating custom, general use modules, and components which extend the elements and modules of core AngularJS

Responsibilities:

- Creating the website architecture.

- Designing and building the website front-end.

- Managing website back-end including database and server integration.

- Managing WordPress themes and plugins.

- Conducting website performance tests.

- Troubleshooting content issues.

- Monitoring the performance of the live website.

Skill Requirements:

- Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.

- Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.

- Knowledge of code version tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN.

- Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.

- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.

- Ability to manage projects.

- Good communication skills.

As a front end product engineer, you will work with product engineers & designers to improve the overall user experience, performance, reliability and scalability of our systems. From handling millions of messages/ payments a minute to extract buyer intent and priority for processing these transactions to building tools to trace and visualize payments made across a business you'll be involved in projects that span all aspects of the business. Our goals includes scaling and architecting systems to support advanced product features that may not be currently viable because of hard technical considerations. You'll collaborate with our small, but effective, framework team with a track record of highly impactful work for Finly.

WITHIN 1 MONTH, YOU'LL

• Complete Finly's new-hire training week, and learn Accounts Payable Processes & the various partners we work with to make Finly happen.
• Investigate, solve and release a bug fix to production. In order to do this you will ramp up on Finly's engineering stack by pair-programming with your teammates and attending engineering training sessions designed and presented by the team.
• Meet with cross-functional peers around the company to learn how the product functions.
• Complete your engineering starter project and deploy your first changes to production.

WITHIN 3 MONTHs, YOU'LL

• Learn Finly's technical stack and apply development patterns through your work.
• Engage in your first on-call rotation in Support Engineering to help diagnose and resolve production problems and customer issues
• Individually contribute reliably ship full features to customers.
• Estimate technical scope and time to complete major features and initiatives.

WITHIN 6 MONTHS, YOU'LL

• Move to new product vertical & initiative and start designing scalable frontend systems.
• Have made a visible impact on the product for all the users of Finly.
• Work closely with your team to remove roadblocks, educate on best practices and improve how we work.
• Be comfortable navigating most of frontend stack and infrastructure
• Be responsible for the planning, scoping, design, and implementation of new features
• Participate in interviewing and hiring, as a way to influence team growth and how our values inform our culture

WITHIN 12 MONTHS, YOU'LL

• Individually contribute and lead teams to reliably ship full improvements to our frontend services
• Define tools and standards for product engineering to measure performance impact of releases
• Drive service reliability by developing tooling that enables metric visibility using SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs
• Developing Production Readiness standards to ensure service reliability
• Help grow other engineers technically by mentoring, pairing and developing other learning opportunities
• Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to define priorities and set delivery goals

Your understanding of front-end technologies, web application dev, system design, will be put to the test. You will take up a project for a team and then move to another project.

• 4+ years of experience in Angular (6 and above) based UI development.
• Expert in modern JavaScript MV-VM/MVC frameworks (Angular, JQuery, NodeJS)
• Proficient in developing front-end applications/ responsive applications with Angular, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX.
• Hand on experience with Angular Components, Directives, Services, Http Client, Interceptors, Routing
• In-depth knowledge of Typescript
• Design and develop UI wireframes based on the requirements.
• Plan the layout of the website.
• Good understanding of Table less Design / Table less Layout using CSS and also experience of fixing cross browser and cross platform issues.
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
• Experience in designing various forms, tooltips, menus, tabs, animated effects, data and time selector and many others using jQuery toolkit and custom libraries.
• Experience developing custom reusable components
• Understanding of key design principles.
• Strong experience working with RESTful APIs.
• Good understanding in entire Software Development Life Cycle and worked on Agile software development methodologies, secure coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous integration, build processes, testing and operations.
• Analyze user requirements and convert requirements to design documents
• Compile timely, comprehensive and accurate documentation and or reports as requested
