About the Role

We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager to run execution across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams. You will own delivery, keep teams aligned, and ensure the right things ship at the right time — balancing product roadmap, customer issues, sales priorities, and platform reliability in a fast-moving startup environment.

What You’ll Do

• Own end-to-end delivery of engineering and product initiatives
• Build and maintain sprint plans, delivery timelines, and roadmaps
• Prioritize work across features, bugs, customer requests, sales needs, and infrastructure
• Work closely with engineers to translate requirements into clear execution plans
• Run Agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews, retros)
• Track delivery, risks, and team capacity
• Communicate progress, blockers, and timelines to leadership and stakeholders
• Use data from tools like Mixpanel and monitoring systems to track delivery health

What We’re Looking For

1. The ideal candidate should possess expert-level knowledge in technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Node JS, MongoDB, Redis, Linux servers, and networking protocols (TCP and UDP). This includes understanding how to use these technologies to develop and deploy backend systems, as well as troubleshooting and optimizing them.
2. Proficient in automation technology, the candidate should be able to optimize existing infrastructure, identify and implement design patterns, and understand data structures and algorithms. This includes an ability to evaluate and recommend new technologies that can improve the performance and scalability of the system.
3. The candidate should be familiar with version control and project management tools such as GIT, JIRA, etc. and be able to use them effectively to manage and collaborate on code development.
4. Strong understanding of multithreading and multiprocessing concepts, and the ability to make tweaks and optimizations in similar domains for the purpose of improving performance and scalability.
5. Understanding of clustering and load balancing, including the ability to design and implement solutions that can improve the availability and scalability of the system.
6. Understanding of cyber security protocols and their application in the development and deployment of backend systems. This includes knowledge of best practices for securing systems, as well as the ability to identify and mitigate potential security threats.
7. Ability to implement CI/CD pipelines when needed. This includes an understanding of the various steps involved in creating, testing, and deploying code, as well as knowledge of the tools and technologies used to automate these processes.
8. Familiarity with tools such as NGINX or HAProxy and understanding how they can be used to improve the performance and scalability of the system.
9. Eagerness to learn and upgrade skills as per the demands of the product. This includes an ability to stay current with new technologies and best practices in the field, as well as a willingness to continuously improve one's own skills.
10. Proven experience in the industry and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should have a solid understanding of the financial markets and the technology used to support them.
11. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team. The candidate should be able to identify and solve complex problems and work effectively with others to achieve common goals.
12. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate should be able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and work well in a team environment.

We’re looking for a highly technical individual, with strong problem-solving and communication skills, and is comfortable working closely with customers. 

Work Location

This role will be based remotely in Hyderabad / Bangalore and requires a frequent travel for short trips to customer site during the working week once the restriction are lifted. 

• Excellent analytical, diagnostic skills, and problem-solving skills
• High motivation for a role that combines deep technical and customer-management dimensions
• Confidence speaking and presenting in a collaborative customer setting
• 5+ years of software development/consulting/support experience, preferably in a number of distinct industries/verticals
• Familiarity with enterprise-scale software architectures, application development methodologies, and software deployment and operations
• Competence in at least one of the following languages (in no particular order): Java, C#, Python, Node.js (JavaScript), Ruby, Go.
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with Linux diagnostics and tuning; Windows tuning knowledge is a plus
• Should have the strong capability with, minimally, both English and any local language - as necessary

As a core member of the MongoDB Professional Services team, you will

• Contribute to customer implementations at any or all phases of the application lifecycle: portfolio assessment, application planning, and design, deployment architectures, development and build, integration and release configuration, system testing, production operations, application optimisation, and best practices adoption
• Deliver customer classroom-based training to architect, developer, and operations roles
• Work as part of a wider delivery team comprising fellow consulting engineers, project managers, and account teams
• Cultivate your individual MongoDB reputation as a trusted advisor to guide MongoDB and our customers into the future
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to influence the direction of the MongoDB product roadmap
