Technical Project Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. Candidates with server-side Kotlin development experience are highly preferred. Strong software engineering fundamentals, REST API development expertise, and experience building enterprise-scale applications are essential.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about clean code, testing, scalability, and product/platform engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and/or Kotlin.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices-based applications.
• Develop high-performance, secure, and reliable enterprise applications.
• Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following industry best practices.
• Implement and maintain automated unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering excellence initiatives.

Required Skills

• 6–8+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java.
• Experience with server-side Kotlin (preferred) or willingness to learn and work extensively in Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
• Strong experience developing REST APIs.
• Experience building enterprise-grade applications.
• Good understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming principles.
• Strong knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, or equivalent.
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with business and marketing objectives.
• Manage and grow FOY’s presence across platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, and emerging channels.
• Create, plan, and oversee the social media content calendar.
• Collaborate with design, content, and marketing teams to create engaging and impactful content.
• Lead social media campaigns from concept to execution, ensuring timely delivery and measurable outcomes.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging social media opportunities.
• Manage community engagement, audience interactions, and brand reputation across platforms.
• Track, analyze, and report social media performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
• Work closely with the performance marketing team to amplify content and optimize campaign performance.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to promote company initiatives, events, partnerships, and product launches.
• Mentor and guide junior social media executives and content creators when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or brand communications.
• Proven experience managing social media accounts for brands with measurable growth and engagement results.
• Strong understanding of platform algorithms, audience behavior, and content optimization strategies.

• Strong understanding of modern and traditional Computer Vision Algorithms.
• Experience in one of the Deep Learning Frameworks / Networks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Darknet(YOLO v4 v5), U-Net, Mask R-CNN, EfficientDet,BERT etc.
• Proficiency with CNN architectures such as ResNet, VGG, UNet, MobileNet, pix2pix, and CycleGAN.
• Experienced user of libraries such as OpenCV, scikit-learn, matplotlib and pandas.
• Ability to transform research articles into working solutions to solve real-world problems.
• High proficiency in Python programming knowledge.
• Familiar with software development practices/pipelines (DevOps- Kubernetes, docker containers, CI/CD tools).

Timings:

• 40 hours a week but with 4 hours a day overlapping with the client timezone.  Typically clients are in the California PST Timezone.
