Technical Lead – Frontend

We are looking for a skilled React Native Developer to join our mobile development team. You will be responsible for building performant, maintainable, and responsive mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms using React Native.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and JavaScript
• Translate designs from Figma or other specs into responsive UI using Flexbox, StyleSheet, and semantic components like View, Text, and Image
• Work with APIs using fetch, async/await, and implement robust error handling
• Use React Hooks (useState, useEffect, useRef, etc.) and manage component state and lifecycles effectively
• Optimize performance using FlatList, SectionList, useMemo, useCallback, and memo
• Handle accessibility, dark mode, safe areas, notches, and orientation changes
• Implement animations using Animated API and LayoutAnimation
• Use tools like React DevTools, Flipper, and Chrome DevTools for debugging and performance profiling
• Integrate third-party libraries, native modules, or write custom native bridges as needed
• Handle OTA updates, app size optimizations, and splash screens for both platforms
• Set up automated testing using tools like Detox or Appium
• Integrate and manage analytics (Firebase, Mixpanel), Crashlytics, and logging
• Write clean, modular, and reusable code following patterns like atomic design or MVVM

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on React.js.
• Proven experience with React.js and related technologies (e.g., Redux, React Router, Hooks, Context API).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, Server Sent Events, WebSockets
• Hand’s on experience with web components, microfrontends
• Deep understanding of browser apis like history, intersectionobserver, event handling, virtual panes, drag and drop etc
• Ability to work on a complex and fast moving code base.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and its integration with React applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the frontend components of the Camera AI and gym & trainer management software.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate design concepts into functional, responsive web applications.
• Ensure the applications are optimized for performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Implement user interfaces that provide a seamless experience, including real-time data visualization, interactive elements, and responsive design.
• Work closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure smooth communication between frontend and backend systems.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the stability and performance of the applications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in frontend development and apply them to enhance our products.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in frontend development.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience with responsive design principles and front-end optimization techniques.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API integration.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with WebRTC or other real-time communication technologies.
• Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Jest, Cypress).
• Knowledge of UI/UX best practices.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Your key responsibilities will be converting PSD/Figma into HTML/CSS. You will also be responsible for writing clean, semantic front end code - HTML5, CSS3, JQuery, Java Script.

Selection Criteria

What you will do:

• Build cross-browser compatible front-end applications using ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Develop fast and highly scalable and responsive applications.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams of product manager, backend developers, and UI/UX designers.
• Partner with product teams to ensure user interactions & features are well-designed and implemented.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.

Skills And Qualifications:

• 4+ years of work experience in frontend web development.
• Strong understanding of Core Javascript, ReactJS, React Native (desired), semantic HTML5 CSS, Flexbox and responsive development.
• Thorough understanding of Javascript design patterns
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 CSS3
• Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Proficient understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as ReactJS, AngularJS
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Preferably from a SaaS and web applications platforms background, and/or B2B applications.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Experience in building APIs / application backends using Node.js (good to have)
