React.js Developer

Description

3-5 years of proven and progressive experience in React with TypeScript, and Microservices with Node.js(Good to have), CSS3, and HTML5. As a Frontend Developer, you will be in charge of all duties related to the frontend client platform, from developing designs for complicated applications. This includes reviewing software and business specifications, ensuring UI/UX feasibility, and implementing front-end code optimizations to ensure a smooth user experience.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Javascript fundamentals with a strong understanding of the DOM and browser APIs.
• Full-stack web development experience (Good to have).
• Experience working with Microservices with Node.js (Good to have).
• Experience with a responsive design for desktop/mobile.
• Experience with Javascript frameworks, such as React(must), Angular, or Vue.
• Knowledge of the latest CSS conventions, and experience with preprocessors, such as Sass or Less.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment.
• Great OO skills, including strong design patterns knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the performance of the main front-end website.
• Work with business analysts to review business requirements, and UI designers to ensure technical feasibility of concepts.
• Collaborate with backend developers to set up scalable API architectures.
• Maintain frontend infrastructure, monitor for exceptions in the code, and debug any faults that occur in production.
• Perform requirements analysis, identification of code metrics, code analysis, system risk analysis, usability, automation, and software reliability analysis.

We are looking for an avid programmer and an engineer who is enthusiastic about building complex data-oriented web platforms. Someone who is aspiring to become an industry tech leader in the GIS stack. Knowing about GIS is not a prerequisite if you can learn and adapt quickly. SiteRecon is the Amazon + Google Docs combination for maps. Users place an order to create a map. State-of-the-art AI does our data delivery with a humans-in-the-loop pipeline. This becomes the basemap to create survey notes, operations plans, cost estimates, and so on. We are looking for a Lead Application Developer to increase this edge in our Android and iOS applications.

Although our technology applies to many applications especially related to the site-based operations industry, our Primary market is the landscaping industry in the United States, Canada, and Australia. The combined size of Industry in these 3 countries alone makes up a staggering $140B.

Responsibilities:

• Build high-performance web applications using ReactJS, OpenLayers, and other libraries
• Convert visual designs to UI elements with an acute eye for detail and design fidelity
• Make web applications responsive and cross-browser compatible
• Optimize application performance and reduce page loading speed
• Own, execute, and deliver products/features end-to-end from planning to design to development to deployment
• Contribute towards technical architecture – including coding framework, cloud administration, security, etc.
• Writing reusable, testable, well-documented, and efficient code
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of experience in building products
• Integrating Restful APIs and building responsive UIs – (bootstrap/antd/MaterialUI/less/scss)
• Strong experience in React, Redux/Flux, React Hooks, Context, data structure libraries. (e.g., Immutable.js) etc.
• Proficient with modern JavaScript. (ES6+: Classes, modules, arrow functions, async/await, destructuring, etc.)
• Understanding of client-side performance issues
• Flexibility to understand and adopt large and pre-existing codebases
• Ability to prioritize tasks and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment

As a front end product engineer, you will work with product engineers & designers to improve the overall user experience, performance, reliability and scalability of our systems. From handling millions of messages/ payments a minute to extract buyer intent and priority for processing these transactions to building tools to trace and visualize payments made across a business you'll be involved in projects that span all aspects of the business. WITHIN 1 MONTH, YOU'LL

• Complete Finly's new-hire training week, and learn Accounts Payable Processes & the various partners we work with to make Finly happen.
• Investigate, solve and release a bug fix to production. In order to do this you will ramp up on Finly's engineering stack by pair-programming with your teammates and attending engineering training sessions designed and presented by the team.
• Meet with cross-functional peers around the company to learn how the product functions.
• Complete your engineering starter project and deploy your first changes to production.

WITHIN 3 MONTHs, YOU'LL

• Learn Finly's technical stack and apply development patterns through your work.
• Engage in your first on-call rotation in Support Engineering to help diagnose and resolve production problems and customer issues
• Individually contribute reliably ship full features to customers.
• Estimate technical scope and time to complete major features and initiatives.

WITHIN 6 MONTHS, YOU'LL

• Move to new product vertical & initiative and start designing scalable frontend systems.

• Individually contribute and lead teams to reliably ship full improvements to our frontend services
• Define tools and standards for product engineering to measure performance impact of releases
• Drive service reliability by developing tooling that enables metric visibility using SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs
• Developing Production Readiness standards to ensure service reliability
• Help grow other engineers technically by mentoring, pairing and developing other learning opportunities
• Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to define priorities and set delivery goals
