JOB DESCRIPTION

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of the frontend of Shipthis's suite of SaaS products
• Drive the implementation of new technologies and architect frontend solutions to ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Work closely with backend developers to ensure seamless integration of APIs and data between the front and back end.
• Define and enforce coding standards, guidelines, and best practices for the team, ensuring high code quality and performance.
• Actively participate in planning and strategy discussions, contributing to technical decisions that influence the product roadmap.
• Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of the system in production environments.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and product managers to shape the user experience, ensuring that complex data workflows are intuitive and accessible.
• Mentor and guide junior developers within the team, providing code reviews and feedback to ensure quality and best practices are followed.
• Stay current with industry trends and developments, recommending tools, libraries, and processes to improve the frontend development workflow.

Desired qualifications include:

• 2+ years of experience in frontend development with a solid track record of delivering successful web applications.
• Experience leading frontend teams or working as a senior developer in a collaborative environment.
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (preferably Angular 12+), along with a strong understanding of TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Proven ability to architect scalable frontend solutions for large, complex web applications.
• Experience with performance optimization techniques, code-splitting, lazy loading, and browser rendering behavior.
• Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Jest, Jasmine, or Cypress).
• Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively across teams and with stakeholders at all levels.
• Solid understanding of web development principles, including responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standards.
• Knowledge of backend / ionic apps for android/iOS
• A strong portfolio of previous frontend work that demonstrates technical depth and design skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SOA-based process applications using JBPM.
• Define and model business processes using BPMN 2.0 on a BPM platform.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, ensuring best practices in configuration management and code refactoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement solutions to business process needs.
• Perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and provide innovative solutions.
• Work on UI development and integrate with backend systems.
• Deploy and maintain applications on servers like WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, or Jetty.
• Stay updated with new technologies and tools to improve development efficiency.

Key Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in building applications.
• Strong development experience with BPM engines, specifically JBPM (mandatory).
• Hands-on experience in SOA-based process applications.
• Proficient in Java, JSP, Servlets, SQL, and frameworks like Struts/Spring/Hibernate/MyBatis.
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript languages.
• Familiarity with BPMN 2.0 and querying BPM APIs.
• Experience with application servers like WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, or Jetty.
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Rewrite existing APIs in NodeJS.
• Remodel the APIs into Micro services-based architecture.
• Implement a caching layer wherever possible.
• Optimize the API for high performance and scalability.
• Write unit tests for API Testing.
• Automate the code testing and deployment process.

Skills Required:

• At least 2.5 years of experience developing Backends using NodeJS — should be well versed with its asynchronous nature & event loop, and know its quirks and workarounds.
• Excellent hands-on experience using MySQL or any other SQL Database.
• Good knowledge of MongoDB or any other NoSQL Database.
• Good knowledge of Redis, its data types, and their use cases.
• Experience with graph-based databases like GraphQL and Neo4j.
• Experience developing and deploying REST APIs.
• Good knowledge of Unit Testing and available Test Frameworks.
• Good understanding of advanced JS libraries and frameworks.
• Experience with Web sockets, Service Workers, and Web Push Notifications.
• Familiar with NodeJS profiling tools.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Good knowledge of creating and maintaining DevOps infrastructure on cloud platforms.
• Should be a fast learner and a go-getter — without any fear of trying out new things Preferences.
• Experience building a large-scale social or location-based app.

Experience:

The candidate should have about 5+ years of experience with design and development in Java/Scala. Experience in algorithm, data-structure, database and architectures of distributed System is mandatory.

Required Skills:

1. In-depth knowledge of Hadoop, Spark architecture and its components such as HDFS, YARN and executor, cores and memory param
2. Knowledge of Scala and Java both
3. Extensive experience in developing spark job. Should possess good Oops knowledge and be aware of enterprise application design patterns.
4. Good knowledge of Unix/Linux.
5. Experience working on large-scale software projects
6. Understanding the big picture and the various uses cases involved while crafting the solution and documenting them in Unified Modeling language.
7. Own and maintain the architecture document.
8. Keep an eye out for technological trends, open-source projects that can be used.
9. Knows common programming languages and Frameworks.
10. Real time streaming data consumption

Project Management

• Develop the integrated project plans to determine time frame, procedures for accomplishing projects
• Assess consolidated project plans for dependencies, gaps and continued business value
• Plan and manage project closure and/or transitions
• Work with stakeholders to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives and deliverables
• Conduct project reviews to recommend changes to project schedules or resource requirements
• Document and track project scope, changes, issues and risks that affect implementation
• Facilitate the daily stand-up to achieve team consensus
• Eliminate conflicts and assist in developing solutions to manage roadblocks
• Plan and manage testing cycle with customer

Customer Success

• 3-5 years experienced engineer in design; pre / post implementation tracking / successful execution on the following categories:
• Building management systems
• Security systems / cameras; sensors; beacons
• IOT implantation within campuses / buildings
• IT security systems – understanding of the way they work / get implemented
• Comfortable with client interactions and working with client’s vendors / partners

Other Areas:

• Participates periodically in client meetings or business development presentations as part of a Team to help demonstrate our capabilities. Assists with the development of marketing materials and support

Information/data. Maintains a working knowledge of business unit’s available product and service offerings.

Requirements:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, information systems, technology, engineering are preferred.

• At least 4 years of experience in IT Project Management role and 6 years total professional experience
• Strong communication skills, well-versed in English (spoken and written) to facilitate cross border

Communications and collaborations

• Familiar with startup environment and understanding of dynamics between design, engineering, product and customer service is a plus

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI on campaigns
• Track, report, and analyze website analytics initiatives and campaigns.
• Optimize copy and landing pages as per SEO best practices
• Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
• Develop and implement link building strategy
• Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented
• Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.

Qualifications:

• At Least 2 year of relevant experience is highly preferred.
• Good knowledge of WordPress (Important)
• Have the patience to wait for campaign results and learn from failed campaigns.
• Functional knowledge of HTML coding and tags
• Quick decision-making skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
