Roles & Responsibilities

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager who treats engineering management as a systems problem, not a career milestone.

You’ll lead engineers while staying close to the technical core—owning architecture, modeling decisions, and execution quality in a domain where correctness matters as much as velocity.

Technical & Product Ownership

• Build and evolve core platform features
• Design and ship APIs, services, and integrations that power billing automation, usage metering, invoicing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
• Model complex financial workflows
• Work deeply on pricing logic, proration, true-ups, multi-currency handling, approval workflows, and event-driven billing pipelines—where small decisions have long-term consequences.
• Make architectural trade-offs
• Balance “ship it now” against “live with it forever” while scaling systems that process high-volume usage data and real-time financial calculations.
• Stay technically fluent
• You won’t write code every day, but you’ll review PRs, catch subtle bugs, and guide design discussions with confidence.

Team Leadership & Management

• Lead and grow the engineering team
• Mentor and manage engineers across experience levels, setting clear expectations and raising the bar on ownership, execution, and quality.
• Create high-output systems
• Establish clear problem definitions, focused execution cycles, code reviews that actually catch issues, and enough slack for engineers to think—not just ship.
• Debug team dynamics like software
• Observe signals, form hypotheses, intervene deliberately, and measure outcomes—whether the issue is delivery, alignment, or collaboration.
• Build the team intentionally
• Design interviews that surface real problem-solving ability, not just pattern matching. At this stage, every hire shifts the average.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Product, Finance, and Customer Success to translate real-world contract terms into correct, scalable systems
• Partner with stakeholders to solve ambiguous problems where requirements evolve and trade-offs are unavoidable
• Ensure systems remain accurate, auditable, and compliant as the product scales

1Strong Engineering Manager / Lead Profiles

2Mandatory (Experience 1) – Must have minimum 8+ years of overall Software Engineering / Development experience with a strong IC foundation.

3Mandatory (Experience 2) – Must have 2+ years of formal Engineering Manager experience with direct people-management responsibility (informal Senior Engineer / Tech Lead experience managing a team does not count)

4Mandatory (Experience 3) – Must have directly managed 4–6+ engineers, including 1:1s, performance management, growth plans, promotions, mentoring, and team development.

5Mandatory (Experience 4) – Must own technical direction and delivery for an engineering team/pod, including architecture, system design, code/PR reviews, execution planning, and engineering quality.

6Mandatory (Experience 5) – Must have strong backend/software engineering experience with hands-on technical depth in building APIs, services, integrations, and scalable systems; specific language/framework can vary.

7Mandatory (Experience 6) – Must have experience owning production operations, including on-call, incident management, debugging, and postmortems for their area.

8Mandatory (Experience 7) – Must have experience driving cross-functional alignment with Product and Design and translating ambiguous business/product requirements into scalable technical solutions.

9Mandatory (Company) – Must be from a Product Company / Startup, particularly B2B SaaS, Fintech, Payments, or similar technology product environments. (Refer Target Company List)

10Mandatory (Role Fit) – Role is 80% people/team management and 20% technical/IC involvement;

Job Title: Full Stack Developer – Video Commerce (RealityShop)

About RealityShop:

RealityShop is a cutting-edge video commerce platform designed to revolutionize the e-commerce experience by integrating shoppable videos into Shopify stores. Our platform helps merchants engage customers through interactive videos that increase conversions and drive sales.

We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer who is passionate about building scalable, user-friendly applications. You'll play a key role in developing and enhancing RealityShop's platform, working with Gadget and Shopify to bring innovative video commerce features to life.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the product and take full ownership of creating and maintaining the product.
• Develop and maintain Gadget-powered applications for RealityShop’s backend and infrastructure.
• Build, test, and deploy Shopify integrations, ensuring seamless functionality between our platform and merchants' stores.
• Collaborate with the product team to design and implement features like UGC content collection, video hosting, file uploads, and custom CTAs.
• Implement responsive, intuitive front-end designs using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Optimize for performance, ensuring that the video commerce experience is fast and smooth across devices.
• Work on both the front-end and back-end, contributing to overall architecture decisions.
• Integrate RESTful APIs for communication between front-end components and backend services.
• Write clear, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in a full stack development role
• Proficient in JavaScript, Node.js, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue).
• Experience with Shopify API development and Shopify app integration.
• Strong understanding of Javascript development practices
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Familiarity with database design and management.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, remote team.

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience with Shopify or Gadget is not required but preferred.
• Prior experience with Generative AI such as Open AI, Faceswapping, LipSyncing.
• Experience with video hosting and compression technologies.
• Familiarity with video analytics or any other video-based technologies.
• Knowledge of Shopify App Store submission and review processes.

What we're looking for: 

• You must have good understanding of Object Oriented Programming 
• 5 years or more of professional software development experience with 3 or more years of experience developing .NET/C# web applications using Microsoft Development Products
• You believe in a systematic approach to developing the system through clear documentation (flowcharts, layouts, & etc) of functionality, address every use case through creative solutions.
• You must have defined, designed and built varied components of web-based and/or mobile applications 
• Experience using WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) to build Windows desktop applications is a plus 
• Experience using JavaScript frameworks/libraries (Angular, React, JQuery, D3) is a plus 
• Experience with SQL Server (relational databases) and no-SQL Databases (Apache Cassandra or similar) 
• Strong analytical skills – be a problem solver and be able to develop complex algorithms

Work Timings : 3 PM - 12 AM

1. Having nodejs (backend technology) as with frontend development. I am stressing on frontend more to give emphasis on the need.
2. We look for frontend engineers (java script) primarily and who are willing to contribute to backend (python). Backend wise, on the resume, these candidates can have nodejs / python / java / c# / any programming language

We are looking for a full-stack Javascript developer mainly with Javascript Frameworks (React, Angular) and NodeJS skillset.

As a Frontend JS Developer, you will be required to implement a complete user interface in the form of a mobile and desktop web app, with a focus on performance.

As a NodeJS developer, you will need to focus on the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full development life cycle, including implementing design, coding, testing and production release

• Your main duties will include creating modules and components in React and coupling them together into a functional app.

• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds

• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system

• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

• Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development

Qualifications

• Passionate about developing amazing user experiences

• Strong proficiency with JavaScript (Object Oriented)

• At least 1 year of experience working in MEAN or MERN stack - i.e. React/Angular and Nodejs

• Deep knowledge of Frontend Application practices and commonly used modules based on extensive work experience along with Node.js applications on top of RESTful APIs

• Experience with web frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3,  Bootstrap

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git is a plus

• Knowledge Experience in building ionic/hybrid apps is a huge positive
