REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong experience in Backend Engineering, Microservices, and Distributed Systems
• Deep hands-on expertise in Java and Node.js development 
• Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services 
• Strong understanding of OOP, Data Structures, Algorithms, and Software Design Principles 
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar databases 
• Experience with system design, scalability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization
• Experience with Redis, messaging systems, and event-driven architectures
• Hands-on experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization
• Experience with observability, monitoring, and production support
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, microservices, and APIs
• Build high-performance RESTful and event-driven applications
• Own system design, data models, integrations, scalability, and reliability
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver business solutions
• Write clean, secure, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and operational practices

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related fields

• Hands-on experience in modern web-development using .Net core, C#, Angular2+, Javascript, HTML5, CSS
• Expertise in developing services (SOAP-WCF and REST)
• Expertise in web development frameworks like ASP.NET MVC
• Good knowledge of database concepts and Microsoft SQL Server
• Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, design patterns, concurrency, algorithms, and software design
• Experience working in any of the JavaScript frameworks like Ember.js, AngularJS, or ReactJS is a bonus.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work as an individual contributor.
• Flair to learn new technologies and thrive in an agile environment.

Create a consumer facing credit card product that will be used by millions of users. 

What you will do:

• Be a part of our backend for frontend/ credit card processing engineering teams to build the best homegrown credit card stack.
• Partner with the product teams to understand the product features and specifications, translate them into high level and low-level design.
• Work with frontend and backend developers to build out a customer-centric experience that will constantly evolve.
• Respond to support team tickets as needed to resolve bugs and issues.
• Participate in contributing ideas, updates, and product development areas to the team.

Experience Range: 

5- 7 years with technical hands-on experience in building large-scale B2C applications catering to millions of users. Previous experience in building scalable products is a must.

Technical Expertise:

• Strong insight into Java programming language (Class loading, Memory Management, Transactions, Executors, Lambdas and Streams).
• Experience in distributed technologies, real-time, high throughput and low latency systems.
• Hands-on prior experience with scalable Cloud based architectures.
• Experience in one or more frameworks like Spring is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency in data structures & algorithms.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Any experience in payments is a plus.

Your responsibilities as an Engineer: 

•     Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.

Skill sets we require:

•     Proven work experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer

•     Experience designing interactive applications

•     Ability to develop software in or other programming languages like JIRA or Postman

•     Excellent knowledge of relational databases, MYSQL and Restful API

•     Experience developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (Laravlel, Codeigniter and Magento)

•     Experience with test-driven development

•     Proficiency in software engineering tools

Educational Qualification: 

•     Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent
