Sr. Node.Js Developer

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong proficiency in Kafka and MongoDB to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in designing and developing high-performance, scalable, and reliable applications in a microservices architecture. You will be responsible for building real-time data processing systems, integrating various services, and ensuring smooth data flow across systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Build and maintain Kafka-based real-time data pipelines for handling high-volume, low-latency data.
• Work with MongoDB to design and optimize database schemas and queries for high throughput and availability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features and improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Ensure software quality through best practices, including testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.
• Implement and maintain security best practices in both code and data handling.
• Participate in agile development cycles, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of core Java concepts (J2EE, multithreading, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including setting up brokers, producers, consumers, and understanding Kafka Streams.
• Proficient in working with MongoDB for designing efficient data models, indexing, and optimizing queries.
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, message-driven architectures, and event streaming.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and optimize code for high-performance systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

As a Backend Developer you will be responsible for the server-side of our web applications

and you will work closely with our engineers to ensure the system consistency and improving

user experience.

Role and Responsibilities

• As an experienced backend developer, your primary focus will be the development of all

server-side systems

• A basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well. You will test, secure

and deploy your code

• Knowledge of Node.js is a must along with a server-sideframework
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Experience and proficiency integrating with RESTAPIs
• Understanding of scalable computing systems, software architecture, data structures,

Skills Required:

• At least 2 years of experience developing Backends using NodeJS should be well versed

with its asynchronous nature & event loop, and know its quirks and workarounds.

• Good knowledge of MongoDB or any other NoSQL

Database.

• Good knowledge of Redis, its data types, and their use cases.
• Experience developing and deploying REST

APIs.

• Good knowledge of Unit Testing and available Test Frameworks.

What you’ll do at Ather:

• You will be developing the various Applications for the cloud to process data connecting with the vehicle 

• You shall work with the Lead and product team to define and deliver features. 

• Be part of the Agile team, to define Sprint work content definition. 

• Work with cross functional teams to drive overall feature delivery. 

• Be part of the initiatives that achieve the functional requirements of the team. Explore technical feasibility of solutions, propose and evaluate tech stacks. 

• Performance tuning and benchmarking of the features 

Here’s what we are looking for: 

• Strong knowledge and Hands on experience with Nodejs, RestAPI, Java Script, Java Development experience in cloud based infrastructure 

• Strong fundamentals in any fullstack of your choice, OOPS concepts, Google Cloud Platform. Knowledge of Java, React, React Native, Android Native , HTML5, Firebase and Go Programming is a plus. 

• Knowledge on CI/CD pipelines, JIRA, UML, Static Code Analysis tools and Unit test framework is required 

• Knowledge on the S/W communication protocols like gRPC, HTTP, MQTT is a plus Cross platform development experience would be needed. 

• Knowledge of Cloud Based solutions would be a plus. 

• App development for a product which is beyond a mobile platform would be a plus. Experience with Telematics/Infotainment projects would be a great advantage. 

• Strong experience with Agile methodology, along with tools such as JIRA, Confluence. 

• Flashing and debugging tools experience is a plus.
