Sr. FrontEnd developer (angular 6)

Job description

We are looking for an experienced HTML developer to oversee the design, coding, and implementation of projects.

In this role, you will be required to collaborate with Website Designers on the initial web design, write the code, ensure cross-platform compatibility, and provide user support.

To be successful as an HTML developer, you should have a good eye for detail and excellent knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap.

HTML Developer Responsibilities:

Meeting with Web designers to discuss project design and layout.

Coding the entire HTML site from end to end.

Debugging code and front-end web applications.

Ensuring cross-platform compatibility.

Troubleshooting application errors.

Conducting website performance and usability tests.

Meeting publication deadlines.

Providing user support.

HTML Developer Requirements:

At least 2 years experience as an HTML Developer.

In-depth knowledge of front-end coding languages including HTML, CSS

Basic Knowledge on Javascript, Jquery

Ability to troubleshoot coding and application errors.

Knowledge of web design and user application requirements.

Ability to meet strict publication deadlines.

Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that the application will adhere to them

Key Responsibilities:

1. Software Development:

• Design, implement, and optimise clean, scalable, and reliable code across [backend/frontend/full-stack] systems.
• Contribute to the development of micro services, APIs, or UI components as per the project requirements.

1. System Architecture:

• Collaborate and design and enhance system architecture.
• Analyse and identify opportunities for performance improvements and scalability.

1. Code Reviews and Mentorship:

• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
• Mentor and support junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

1. Agile Collaboration:

• Work within an Agile/Scrum framework, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with Carbon Science, Designer, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

1. Problem-Solving:

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues in production and development environments.
• Contribute to incident management and root cause analysis to improve system reliability.

1. Continuous Improvement:

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Propose and implement improvements to existing codebases, tools, and development processes.

Qualifications:

Must-Have:

• Experience: 2–5 years of professional software development experience in [specify languages/tools, e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.].
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in [programming languages/frameworks/tools].
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with containerisation (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).

Soft Skills:

What will I do?

• Delivering a complete front end application
  • Ensuring high performance on mobile and desktop
  • Writing tested, idiomatic, and documented JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Coordinating the workflow between the graphic designer, the HTML coder, and yourself
  • Cooperating with the back-end developer in the process of building the RESTful API
  • Communicating with external web services

What skills should I have?

- Must have 6+ years of experience in frontend development with an internet startup.
- Deep knowledge of Angular practices and commonly used modules based on extensive work experience
- Proficiency with JavaScript and HTML5
- Extensive knowledge of CSS and JS methods for providing performance visual effects and keeping the frame rate above 30fps at all times
- Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system
- Creating custom, general use modules and components which extend the elements and modules of core Angular
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

• Develop user interface components and implement them using well-known React workflows & best-practices. Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
• Take complete ownership of features, break it down to smaller tasks, identify blockers and find solutions for them; collaborate with other cross-functional teams to deliver the feature on time.
• Create responsive layouts for different mobile screens and desktops with search friendly markup
• Translating visual designs and product wireframes into high quality code

• Min 2+ years of experience in developing modern consumer facing web applications using React and Redux
• Should be aware of latest React patterns and know how to leverage react hooks, functional components and higher order components
• Strong proficiency in CSS, JavaScript, including DOM manipulation
