Oddr is looking for a skilled frontend engineer to help us build modern web-based Cloud applications. The ideal candidate should be able to bring new ideas to the table and design and implement frontend components with a strong emphasis on their robustness, testability, re-usability, performance, and ease of maintenance. The candidate should demonstrate leadership qualities, be a self-motivated team player, and take pride in what they deliver.

The candidate should be interested in a long-term stable career to grow with our company. The candidate will need to work late night hours because of the geographic distribution of the team.

Technical Requirements:

• Strong understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, HTML, and other standard frontend technologies and tools
• Experience with frontend test automation frameworks and tools
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Experience with modern authorization techniques like JWT
• Experience with monitoring and improving frontend performance
• General understanding and knowledge of the UI/UX best practices
• Ability to write clean, well-structured code with proper abstraction and re-usability
• Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage priorities, and take responsibility for delivering to time and quality requirements

Minimum qualifications required:

• Bachelor's degree or relevant certification from a reputable institute.

Primary Skills

• Experience in building an enterprise web application using ReactJS as the frontend framework
• Experience with Redux and React Hooks
• Expert in HTML5, CSS3
• Experience in Bootstrap4 or CSS pre-processor like Less or Sass is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of best practices and modern web design trends is necessary.
• Some experience with modern web-based typography.
• Excel at rapid prototyping and at writing good code.
• Experience with testing/debugging in multiple browsers and platforms.
• Expertise in using JavaScript
• Should have worked on REST client and WebSockets

Responsibilities

As a Frontend Developer (Next.js) you will be responsible for -

•  Building the Complete UI/UX of our web application from scratch.
• Work closely with the Backend Engineer to integrate the algorithmic output from the backend REST APIs.
• Work closely with the product owners to create dynamic infographics with intuitive user controls.
• Work closely with our web Designer for bringing design to life.
• Participate in UAT, troubleshoot, bugs and application integration issues
• Create and maintain documentation related to the developed processes and applications

Qualification & Experience

• 2-3 years of demonstrable experience designing, building and working as a Next.js Developer for enterprise web application
• Ideally, this would include the following:
• Expert-level proficiency with Next.js and all its concepts
• Expert-level proficiency with JavaScript (ES6), HTML5 & CSS
• Expert-level proficiency with ReactJS and all its concepts like Hooks and Redux
• Familiarity with Python, Django, and Django Rest Framework
• Understanding of REST concepts and interacting with REST APIs
• Deep understanding of a few UI concepts:
• Cross-browser compatibility and implementing the responsive web design
• Familiarity with common JS visualization libraries built using D3, Chart.js, Highcharts, etc.
• Understanding of Next.js coding Standards
• Experience working with UX designers and bringing design to life
• In addition, the ideal candidate would have great problem-solving skills and familiarity with code versioning tools such as Github

Your role and responsibilities

• Integrating REST APIs in front-end application using React JS
• Implementing business logic in front-end application using javascript, should be able to handle complex JSON architecture.
• Should be able to manage states using Redux, Redux thunk/saga, Mobx.
• Should be comfortable in using both functional and class components in React.
• Should be able to create reusable components to make efficient applications. We hate code duplication.
• Must be familiar with popular React UI libraries like Material UI, Antd.
• Implement best practices and constantly learn new ways of keeping codebases up to date.
• Having knowledge in Typescript, GraphQL, NextJS, Socket.io is like a match made in heaven.
