• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers,

and other stakeholders to define project requirements and priorities. Ensure alignment

between technical solutions and business objectives.

• Technology Stack Expertise: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging

technologies. Evaluate and introduce new technologies/tools to enhance the

development process.

Designation: Full Stack Engineer (Senior Software Engineer)

As a Full Stack Engineer at Vola Finance, you’ll be at the forefront of building and scaling the next generation of fintech products. You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver seamless, high-performing features that delight our users.

• Take complete ownership of features, from design to deployment, ensuring they meet high-quality standards.
• Build and optimize scalable back-end systems using Golang and contribute to front-end development using modern frameworks.

What are we looking for?

• Experience: 6+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer or similar role.
• Backend Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Golang/Node.js, including building APIs, microservices, and optimizing system performance.
• Frontend Skills: Proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS, with experience in frameworks like ReactJS or similar.
• Web Development: Experience building responsive, high-performance web applications.
• Dev Tools: Familiarity with modern build tools like Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt.
• State Management: Hands-on experience with state management libraries such as Redux or Context API.
• API Design: Strong understanding of RESTful API design and best practices.
• Debugging: Expertise in debugging tools (e.g., browser dev tools) and cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaboration: Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Good to have:

• Experience with advanced web technologies such as Service Workers or Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
• Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR) techniques using frameworks like Next.js.
• Knowledge of CSS pre-processors (e.g., SCSS, LESS).
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha.
• A GitHub portfolio or side projects showcasing your passion for coding and solving real-world problems.

For this hire, we’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is independently able to architect and build an entire on-demand service platform from scratch. This would require knowledge of and proven experience in Backend (Golang, Python, C/C++, Java, Ruby), Web Frontend (React, Angular, Next, Vue), APIs (nodeJS), Cloud (AWS, GCP) and Database (RDBMS like Postgres and NoSQL)

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Prior experience of having built or been involved in building an on-demand service platform from scratch (think Uber, Ola, Swiggy, Dunzo, etc.)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Guide complex projects autonomously, from technical design to launch
• Write high-quality code (i.e., reliable, readable, efficient, testable), provides quality code reviews, and creates comprehensive tests and quality documentation using software engineering principles. This includes knowledge of data structures, algorithms, programming and associated programming languages and frameworks, and major phases/activities of the software research and development life cycle (e.g., requirements, design, build, experiment, test, debug, deploy, monitor). 
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to other developers
• Participate in architectural and design discussions, and contribute to the development of software engineering practices and standards
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development, and identify opportunities to apply them in our products

Requirements:

• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, Next.js or Angular, and back-end frameworks such as Golang, Java, Javascript, Python Node.js, Ruby
• Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

The Role

Based in Jaipur or Pune, you will be working in a collaborative team on cutting edge technologies in a supportive and dynamic environment. Ultimately you are responsible for building the CODI and on-boarding new clients - this involves:

• Making suggestions towards shaping the strategy for a feature and engineering design.
• Managing own workload and usually delivering unsupervised. Accountable for their own workstream or the work of a small team.

• Acting as the Lead Engineer on a project. Helps ensure others follow Peak processes, such as release and version control.
• An active member of the team, through useful contributions to projects and in team meetings.
• Supervising others. Deputising for a Lead and/or support them with tasks. Mentoring new joiners/interns and Masters students. Sharing knowledge and learnings with the team.

Required Skills and Experience

We are building a team of world class engineers in Jaipur / Pune, essentially we are looking for bright, talented engineers looking to work at the cutting edge of practical AI.

• Acquired strong proven professional programming experience.
• Strong command of Algorithms, Data structures, Design patterns, and Product Architectural Design.
• Good understanding of DevOps, Cloud technologies, CI/CD, Serverless and Docker, preferable AWS 
• Proven track record and expert in one of the field - DevOps/Frontend/Backend
• Excellent coding and debugging skills in any language with command on any one programming paradigm, preferred Javascript/Python/Go
• Experience with at least one of the Database systems - RDBMS and NoSQL
• Ability to document requirements and specifications.
• A naturally inquisitive and problem-solving mindset.
