Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to build and scale our fintech platform. You will own the entire lifecycle of our financial products, from designing high-performance relational schemas in PostgreSQL to building interactive dashboards in React.

Key Responsibilities

• Full Stack Development: Build and maintain end-to-end features using the PERN stack

(PostgreSQL, Express.js, React, Node.js).

• Database Optimization: Design complex relational models and optimize SQL queries to

handle high-volume financial data and audit trails.

• Security & Compliance: Implement rigorous security measures (e.g., JWT, OAuth, data

encryption) and ensure the platform adheres to fintech standards like PCI-DSS.

• API Architecture: Develop robust RESTful APIs to integrate with third-party banking APIs,

payment processors (Stripe/Plaid), and KYC providers.

Technical Requirements

• Front-end: Advanced proficiency in React.js (Hooks, Context API, Redux or TanStack Query)

and modern CSS (Tailwind/Styled Components).

• Back-end: Expert-level Node.js and Express.js experience, with a focus on asynchronous

programming and secure API design.

• Database: Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL (complex joins, indexing, triggers, and

migrations).

Additional skills

• Understanding of Event-Driven Architecture (using AWS SQS/SNS or Kafka).

• Familiarity with SOC2 or ISO 27001 compliance frameworks.

• Cloud (AWS): Proven experience with:

• RDS/Aurora for managed databases.
• IAM for secure access management.
• AWS Lambda & API Gateway for serverless architecture.
• CloudWatch for monitoring and alerting.

• Tools: Git, Docker, and experience with CI/CD workflows.

The Opportunity

We are a pre-seed startup redefining fashion discovery. We believe the future of e-commerce isn't about search bars and endless scrolling; it’s about context-aware curation.

We are looking for a Founding Full-Stack Engineer who sits at the intersection of Systems and Design. You will be the technical anchor of the team, turning chaotic web data into a fluid, consumer-grade experience.

The Role

You won't just be writing code; you will define the product's architecture. We need Vertical Ownership—the ability to take a feature from a raw database row all the way to a pixel-perfect interaction on the screen.

• The Data Engine (Backend & Scraping): You will build robust data pipelines that scrape and frequently refresh data from top fashion retailers. You will further structure and enrich this data, add additional attributes and prepare it for downstream consumption. Added bonus: prior experience with feature engineering
• The Experience (Frontend): You will craft the user interface. We are building a consumer brand, so "functional" isn't enough—it needs to feel "alive.”. If you have a refined design sense, and prior exposure to building eComm websites with complex landing and category pages, then you are the right fit for this role. 
• The Intelligence (AI Integration): You should be able to understand and re-run existing research algorithms on Fill-In-The-Blank (FITB) tasks.

The Toolkit

• Core Stack: Python for the heavy lifting; JavaScript/TypeScript (React) for the web interface.
• Data Ops: Experience building complex scrapers, handling proxies, and managing data pipelines is non-negotiable.
• Design Engineering: A strong grasp of building advanced eCommerce components (multi-tile grid layouts, drag-and-drop elements, etc.)

Technical Manager: We are looking for someone who can report to the firm’s chief technology officer, the technical lead is a full-time position that participates in all phases of the project lifecycle and consistently delivers business value to our clients. The technical lead is a leader within our client-facing project delivery team structure and sets best practices, approach and direction for the technical aspects of our practice. The ideal candidate has a passion for the web and higher education and is a champion for Laravel or similar frameworks.  And guide our passionate Software Developers to design, develop robust products. Candidates should be open minded to new solutions, forward thinking and strong ability to adapt. As a Lead, you’ll work closely with our engineers to ensure system consistency and improve user experience. Ultimately, you should be able to lead, develop and maintain functional and stable web applications to meet our company’s needs along with managing the team.

• Fluency and Hands-on Experience on Laravel 5+ PHP Framework (specially working with Eloquent Models/Collections) and/or React/Redux is a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and/or NoSql based DB such as MongoDB.
• Experience in JavaScript. Vue JS/React JS is a plus
