Software Developer

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Java Full Stack Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both backend (Java, Spring Boot) and frontend (JavaScript, React or Angular), with a proven ability to build scalable, high-performance applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and robust backend services using Java & Spring Boot
• Build responsive and user-friendly frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React or Angular)
• Collaborate with architects and team members to design scalable, maintainable, and efficient systems
• Contribute to architectural decisions involving microservices, REST APIs, and cloud solutions
• Implement and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration across systems
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices
• Conduct code reviews, performance optimizations, and debugging
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, product managers, and QA engineers
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance when needed

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in full-stack development

The ideal candidate is a highly resourceful and innovative developer with extensive experience in the layout, design, and coding of websites specifically in PHP format. You must also possess a strong knowledge of web application development using PHP programming language and MySQL Server databases. 

Requirement:

·        3-4 years of experience in web applications/full stack development using PHP, Ajax, Linux, MySQL, Apache

·        Good experience with PHP frameworks CodeIgniter (Laravel, symphony etc. would be a plus)

·        Hands on experience with SQL schema design, REST API design, API integrations

·        Working knowledge of cron jobs

·        Familiarity with modern libraries and frameworks. ie: Bootstrap, jQuery, etc

·        Expertise in developing highly scalable and performant web applications.

·        Proficient in debugging and diagnosing production systems

·        Experience in preparing design specifications/documents.

Good to have:

·        Familiar with Payment Gateways/Wallet integrations is a plus.

·        Experience working with JIRA, Bitbucket, Git, etc.

·        Good written and technical communication skills.

·        Working knowledge of WordPress with plug-in development.

DirectShifts is growing rapidly and we are looking for a full-stack engineer to join our technical team, working out of India. We need incredibly tenacious engineers who are not only great engineers but who can bring unique value to our rapidly growing team.

You will be responsible for implementing ideas and mocks for our app (web and mobile) which is used daily by healthcare professionals, internal users, and healthcare employers - you will own the frontend development as well as the building blocks and the APIs that power the web app (and the mobile apps). You need to be comfortable dabbling with some basic infrastructure management on AWS.
