Job Description:

 

Hikeon Technologies is seeking a skilled and motivated Shopify Developer to join our dynamic

 

team. As a Shopify Developer, you will play a key role in the development, customization, and

 

maintenance of our clients' Shopify ecommerce websites. Your primary focus will be on

 

implementing Shopify themes, creating custom functionality using Shopify's Liquid programming

 

language, and integrating third-party applications and services.

 

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to understand client

 

requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the Shopify platform.

 

●

 

Develop, customize, and optimize Shopify themes to create visually appealing and

 

user-friendly e-commerce websites.

 

●

 

Implement custom functionality using Shopify's plus programming language, including

 

creating custom templates, product pages, collection pages, and cart functionality.

 

●

 

Integrate third-party applications and services, such as payment gateways, shipping

 

providers, and marketing tools, into Shopify websites.

 

●

 

Conduct thorough testing to ensure the quality, performance, and compatibility of

 

developed features across different devices and browsers.

 

●

 

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or bugs related to Shopify websites, ensuring

 

timely resolution and minimal disruption to the client's business.

 

●

 

Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in Shopify

 

development, and proactively suggest improvements to enhance the overall website

 

performance and user experience.

 

●

 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process

 

improvements and the implementation of best practices in Shopify development.

 

Qualifications:

 

●

 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or

 

equivalent practical experience).

 

●

 

Proven experience as a Shopify Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing

 

successful Shopify website development projects.

 

●

 

Proficiency in Shopify's Liquid programming language and the ability to create custom

 

themes, templates, and functionality using Liquid.

●

 

Solid understanding of front-end web technologies, including HTML, CSS,

 

JavaScript/jQuery, and responsive web design principles.

 

●

 

Experience with Shopify's APIs and working with third-party integrations, such as

 

payment gateways, shipping providers, and marketing tools.

 

●

 

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely

 

manner.

 

●

 

Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, and project management tools like

 

Jira or Asana.

 

●

 

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within

 

deadlines.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Shopify certification or relevant professional certifications in web development.

Experience with other e-commerce B2B platforms, such as Magento, WooCommerce, or

 

BigCommerce.

 

●

 

Knowledge of SEO best practices and techniques for e-commerce websites.

 

●

 

Experience with performance optimization and website speed enhancements.

 

●

 

Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and a good eye for aesthetics.

 

●

 

Understanding of accessibility standards and guidelines

 

●

 

Experience on Checkout app,React JS.

Compensation

 

Based on your last CTC and interview performance.

 

Wordpress:
Should have hands-on experience in WordPress & HOOKS concepts.
Extensive knowledge and experience in building WordPress CMS websites using the best practice & de-facto standard plugins.
- Knowledge of Customization of themes & plugins
- Experience working with WordPress at a PHP code level.
- Knowledge of existing inbuilt WordPress functions.
- Theme Template integration.
- Good understanding of cross-platform and cross-browser issues.
- Experience in developing E-Commerce websites

Shopify:
Should have hands-on experience in Shopify API & APP concepts.
Extensive knowledge and experience in building custom stores.
- Knowledge of Customization of themes & apps
- Experience working with Shopify APIs
- Knowledge of existing inbuilt Shopify system.
- Theme Template integration.
- Good understanding of cross-platform and cross-browser issues

Responsibilities

• Create an engaging and knowledgeable online Shopify store to increase sales and revenue.
• Create bespoke Shopify themes and change pre-existing templates per pre-defined brand guidelines
• Be an expert in all aspects of the D2C platform, and work on the UX and UI Design to create unique, strong, and inventive front-end user experiences
• Ensure a smooth connection with Marketing Tools, Platform APIs, and Shopify Apps to optimise the shop for overall efficiency and functionality
• Test and debug websites regularly to improve performance
• Based on their findings, they provide technical support and coordination, protecting enterprises against failure
• Increase conversion rates by optimising the website

Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks ( Magento 1/2, Wordpress, YII, Laravel, Prestashop)

Understanding of MVC design patterns

Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3

Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions

Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments

Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools (like GIT) and of developing web services

Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, Ebay etc) (OPTIONAL)

Desired Candidate Profile

What you need to have:

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Programming or a similar field
• 2+ years of experience developing within the Shopify and Shopify Plus platforms
• 2+ years of experience in front-end technologies including, but not limited to, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, SASS, XML
• Troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Interest in staying current and applying the most current best practices
• Ability to work effectively in a fluid, fast-paced environment
• A true passion for design and technology
• A disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance
• Positive attitude, high energy, and love for broadening web development skill set    

 

 

• Creating a WordPress plugin with WordPress coding standard and themes, contributed plugins over wordpress.org is a big plus.
  

• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
  

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial.
