Responsibilities

· Work on PHP Laravel and CodeIgniter

· Experience for API development for mobile apps

· Train to junior PHP team member

· Complete allotted Project task on proper time

· Contribute to project tracking and planning

· Do Oral or written client communication for the project

· Client communication and technical support.

Requirements

· Excellent Communication skills

· Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, Bootstrap, and PHP

· Expertise in MVC architecture and MySQL

· Design/Development experience in Laravel

· Experience developing API using REST is huge plus point

· Strong proficiency in JavaScript, JQuery & third-party integration

· Clean coding style with the clear separating of UI and functionality.

· Problem Solving & Leadership skill

WeMakeScholars is an organization funded and supported by the Ministry of IT, Government of India under the 'Digital India Campaign'. We offer international education finance via scholarships and education loans, to study abroad aspirants. We are currently a 120 members team. Last financial year, we disbursed 2200 Cr in education loans to 8300 students across India.

We are looking for a PHP Developer who is keen to work in a startup environment esp. a product-based company. 

Job Overview:

We are hiring developers (from 0 to 10 experience) with relevant knowledge and experience with the development and deployment of large-scale cloud-native enterprise systems on PHP, REST APIs, Node Js, Flutter, AWS & MySql. 

About Tech Department:

• Our internal tech team is responsible for end-to-end in-house tech support which includes and is not limited to design, development & deployment. 
• We are continuously developing and improvising our products to enhance customer and team experience.
• As we are in the Fintech space, our team has to ensure the database security of the application.

Job Summary:

• Participate in full lifecycle development
• Work closely with product managers and UI/UX designers to analyze requirements
• Review peer code changes
• Make recommendations for design and implementation improvements
• Integrating the Frontend UI with Backend APIs.
• Design and implement APIs for web/mobile (both Android & IOS) applications.
• Work with the Product team in prioritizing development activities for weekly sprints

Experience & Skills Required:

• Prior experience- not mandatory 
• Ability to quickly learn - PHP, MySql, JQuery, Ajax, Git
• Have familiarity with- HTML, CSS, JS 
• Strong team player with an open mindset to learn new technologies and Knowledge of common SDLC.
• A passion for solving problems and providing workable solutions

Preference will be given to those with:

• Internships experience
• Worked on own projects 
• Experience in PHP, MySql 

• Coding and creating functional web applications and optimizing code for increasing response time and efficiency.
• Coordinating with front-end developers and providing server-side algorithms of user-facing web application elements.
• Analyzing the goals and requirements, handling bugs and errors and providing solutions for the same.
• Interacting with the database for storing data and ensuring that every user has access to what they search.

• Accomplishing the projects and goals within the deadline.
• Managing APIs that are executed across the devices.
• Participating in defining the architecture of the system.

Required skills

• Proven knowledge of front-end technologies, such as Angular, React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript will be preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of PHP and related frameworks. Knowledge of Ruby, Python, NodeJs, and Java will be an added advantage.
• Good Communication, Analytical, Logical, and Leadership skills.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as Angular, React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript will be preferred.
• Ability to manage a hosting environment along with database administration such as MySQL, Oracle.
• Excellent knowledge of APIs (REST, SOAP) and Web services.
• Capable of scaling applications to handle the load changes.
• Knowledge of version control, such as GIT.
• Knowledge of accessibility and security compliance.

• ​Knowledge of VCS using SVN/ GIT and Payment Gateways
• ​Expertise in design principles and their application
