About the role

We are looking for talented Senior Backend Engineers (5+ years of experience) to join our team and take ownership of different parts of our stack. You will be working alongside a team of Engineers locally and directly with the U.S. Engineering team on all aspects of product/application development. You will leverage your experiences and abilities to inform decisions across product development and technology. You will help us build the foundation of our 2nd Headquarters in Pune: its culture, its processes, and its practices. There are a ton of interesting problems to solve, so come hungry. Required Technical Experience (MUST HAVE):

Who we are: Our Co-Founder and CTO is a Serial Gen AI Inventor who grew up in Pune, India, is a BITS Pilani graduate, and worked at NVIDIA's Pune office for 6 years. There, he was promoted 5 times in 6 years and was transferred to the NVIDIA Headquarters in Santa Clara, California. We are seeking for an accomplished professional with minimum 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate needs to be a self-motivator who is willing to work in a bright, busy, deadline-driven environment. The candidate will be a part of a technical team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.

Required skills: Excellent knowledge of working with Core PHP & MySql. Expertise in any of the PHP based framework like: CodeIgniter, Lumen, laravel, cakephp, Zend Framework. Good Knowledge and relevant work experience in CSS, HTML5, PHP, MySQL, HTML/XHTML, XML, JavaScript, JQuery and AJAX. Should have Knowledge in developing Rest APIs. Additional knowledge in web technologies like AngularJS, Node.JS and React.JS is a plus.

Required Candidate profile: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Minimum of 2 years experience in PHP application development. Experience of hospitality/travel Domain would be an advantage.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Work on an intranet portal for excellent employee user experience and productivity using Java full stack tools (React/Angular + Java (Spring boot)
2. Support Web App built for employee IT Applications provisioning process.
3. Take static design components and develop solutions to elevate work into engaging digital experiences.
4. Collaborate with the team to build backend code and integrations as needed.
5. Develop user interfaces that are standards-compliant, cross-browser compatible, and performance-optimized.
6. Create and maintain a repository of common and reusable code.
7. Develop and maintain documentation for code.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Hands on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React (or Angular with willingness to explore React)
2. 6+ years of experience in Java full stack web app development
3. Familiarity with developing custom components as well as using component libraries such as MUI/Bootstrap/Ant Design
4. Comfortable navigating inside a UNIX/Linux environment
5. Ability to write REST APIs and consume with AJAX calls
6. Experience with Java/ Core Java

Responsibilities

• Server Side Programming Languages: PHP & Laravel (MUST)

• Optimisation of the application for maximum speed and scalability.

• Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes
