Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

· Design, Code, test, debug, implement and document complex WSO2 sequences.

· Monitoring and logging tool stacks - Splunk/ELK/Prometheus, Grafana 4 Design, Code, test, debug, implement and document complex WSO2 sequences.

· Perform Build activities for WSO2 ESB Middleware integration, involves writing XSLT, ESB coding, configuration, and Analysis activities.

· Trouble shooting various problems in different stages of development using logs files, Traces and Log Analyzer.

· Responsible for understanding the requirement, solution design, coordinate the development and testing activities (end to end)

· Guide the team regarding WSO2 platform best practices, framework, reusable artefacts and ensure code quality and timely deliverables.

· Work with functional and technical customers to determine solutions that drive additional business value.

· Work with Github, Azure Devops and CI tools to automate dev, build, deployment and testing.

· Good knowledge in messaging brokers: WSO2 Message Broker, Apache Kafka.

· Monitoring the server (Monitoring logs and WSO2 metrics).

· Candidate must have minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in WSO2, preferably with WSO2 certification.

· Extensive experience in Integration by using WSO2 Product Stack (API Manager 2.6/3.x, Enterprise Integrator 6.5 and Identity Server 5.7.0)

· Experience in Implementing APIs in WSO2 EI and On-boarding APIs into WSO2 API Manager

· Experience in WSO2 API Manager for designing API facades and designing and implementing API Proxies.

· Hands-on experience in designing and developing high volume web services using API Protocols and Data Formats (REST, JSON, SOAP & XML).

· Must have hands on experience / knowledge with CI tools to automate dev, build, deploy.

· Experience in programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Python

· Experience in on boarding web applications into WSO2 Identity Server for authentication and authorizatio

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related four-year degree.

• 4 years of hands on experience in Integration

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and designers, to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Design and develop server-side logic, APIs, and database schema to support the functionality and performance requirements of our SaaS platform.

• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code using any relevant programming language preferably Java with SpringBoot.

• Optimize the backend systems for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring high performance and responsiveness of the application.

• Implement data storage solutions using PostgreSQL or other relational databases, ensuring data integrity and security.

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve any issues or bugs in the backend code.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in backend development and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Backend Developer or similar role, with a focus on server-side development.

• Proficiency in working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and writing efficient SQL queries.

• Familiarity with SaaS concepts and architecture.

• Experience with API design and development, including RESTful APIs.

• Solid understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and data structures.

• Experience with version control systems, such as Git.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory

● 5+ years of experience as a Data engineer or related role.

● 5+ years of experience in application development using Python

● Strong experience with SQL and good to have NoSQL.

● Experience with Agile engineering practices.

● Preferred experience in writing queries for RDBMS, cloud-based data warehousing solutions like

Snowflake.

● Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

● Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, is good to have

● Experience with ETL/LT tools and methodologies.

Role: Backend Developer (2 openings)

Kognitos is a cutting-edge automation platform that combines the power of Generative AI and Natural

Language Processing (NLP) to provide a conversational and intuitive experience for business users. As a

fully serverless, SaaS automation platform, Kognitos enables users to build, manage, and execute

automations in natural language, with the ability to process and understand domain-specific language.

Kognitos provides a detailed auditable view of its runs, allowing users to gain insights into why an action

happened or what might have gone wrong in case of an exceptional situation. Additionally, Kognitos's

conversational exception handling, powered by Generative AI, allows for quick and easy resolution of

unexpected system errors or business exceptions.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain the backend infrastructure for our applications using Python and AWS Serverless

technologies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and robust systems, including

microservices and cloud-based architectures.

- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of the backend systems through monitoring and

optimization.

- Create and maintain database schema and queries to support the application features.

- Write unit and integration tests for the backend code and ensure code quality through code reviews.

- Continuously improve the software development process by incorporating best practices and modern

software development methodologies, such as Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD.

- Investigate and troubleshoot production issues and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime and

ensure smooth operations.

- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the development of technical solutions and best

practices.

- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in software development and recommend

improvements to the technology stack to increase efficiency and scalability.

- Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a focus on delivering high-quality software that

Required Experience/Skills:

- B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science/Engineering or similar field or equivalent work experience

- 4-20 years of industry experience (or equivalent)

- Proficient in Python programming language

- Experience with modern software development practices and methodologies, including Agile, DevOps,

and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).

- Experience with large-scale distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-based architectures.

- Strong understanding of software design patterns, algorithms, data structures, and database technologies.

- A natural problem solver, with the ability to identify problems and lead the development of a solution.

What You'll Do


You will be part of our data platform & data engineering team. As part of this agile team, you will work in our cloud native environment and perform following activities to support core product development and client specific projects:

• You will develop the core engineering frameworks for an advanced self-service data analytics product.
• You will work with multiple types of data storage technologies such as relational, blobs, key-value stores, document databases and streaming data sources.
• You will work with latest technologies for data federation with MPP (Massive Parallel Processing) capabilities
• Your work will entail backend architecture to enable data modeling, data queries and API development for both back-end and front-end data interfaces.
• You will support client specific data processing needs using SQL and Python/Pyspark
• You will integrate our product with other data products through Django APIs
• You will partner with other team members in understanding the functional / non-functional business requirements, and translate them into software development tasks

Who you are


• Strong education track record - Bachelors or an advanced degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline from Indian Institute of Technology or equivalent premium institute.
• 2-3 years of experience in data queries, data processing and data modeling
• Excellent ANSI SQL skills to handle complex queries
• Excellent Python and Django programming skills.
• Strong knowledge and experience in modern and distributed data stack components such as the Spark, Hive, Airflow, Kubernetes, Docker etc.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and native cloud technologies for data storage and data processing
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres, Blobs, MongoDB etc.
• Familiarity with ML models is highly preferred
• Experience with Big Data processing and performance optimization
• Should know how to write modular, optimized and documented code.
• Should have good knowledge around error handling.
• Experience in version control systems such as GIT
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Self-starter, continuous learner.

Hands on experience in Python in 2.x and 3.x versions

• Developed and deployed services in AWS serverless Architecture
