Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with strong Node.js expertise who is comfortable working in an AI-assisted development environment. The ideal candidate should be proficient in leveraging modern AI developer tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and help modernize legacy systems.

This role involves working on backend systems, microservices architecture, and AI-powered development workflows, including refactoring legacy applications into modern Node.js services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js.
• Leverage AI-powered developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Amazon Q to improve development efficiency.
• Refactor and modernize legacy .NET applications into Node.js-based microservices using AI-assisted workflows.
• Design and optimize database schemas and complex SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Work with PostgreSQL and Redis for high-performance data storage and caching.
• Build and integrate AI-based features and services into backend applications.
• Automate development workflows through custom CLI tools or IDE extensions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality backend solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Strong expertise in Node.js backend development
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Amazon Q, or similar)
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and Redis
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API design
• Experience with AI engineering (building or integrating AI-powered features)
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

About the role: We’re looking for a Node.Js Developer who can adapt to new tech stacks and innovate with cutting-edge technology solutions, to build eCommerce platforms that are unique, disruptive, and powerful.

What you'll do:
● Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
● Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
● Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
● Implement security and data protection integrations
● Integrate data storage solutions such as databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.
● Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
● Ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

What you'll need:
● Bachelor's degree with minimum 3 years of work experience as a Node Js.
● Strong proficiency in JavaScript or Typescript
● Understanding of Node.js and its frameworks such as Express or StrongLoop
● Understanding of the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
● Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3
● Understanding of accessibility, security compliance, user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
● Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
● Understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT
● Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
● Understanding of the differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile and desktop and its optimization output

• Work on world-class solutions to deliver industry's leading Cloud operations management
• Develop system architecture, design and build platform services for scalable, resilient, multi-tenant Cloud SaaS. Examples of work include:
• Writing microservices based distributed applications
• Designing REST APIs for backend services
• Develop user-interface for our SaaS

• Has significant (3+ years) experience developing and deploying Cloud services for a large scale software projects on public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Has hands-on experience building multi-tenant SaaS solutions on public clouds (AWS)
• Strong experience with React, NodeJS, Java, GO, Python
• Has expertise with microservices, infrastructure as code (IaC), continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD), etc.
• Has experience working with containerization, cluster orchestration, or infrastructure management frameworks (such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform)
• Basic knowledge of AWS security (IAM, Cognito)
• Knowledge of good engineering practices and agile culture
• Takes initiative in a fast-paced environment
• 100% hands-on and loves to code

• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Jaeger, etc.
• AWS certification

Role & Responsibilities

• A Proven work experience as a Ruby on Rails developer with good understanding of Java script, jQuery, HTML, CSS. The individual will need to be hands on with development, performance optimisation, secure development process, usability, and coding standards of the product.
• Strong ROR development experience and follows best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring, and code standards).
• Should have a mix of excellent reasoning ability to document, develop and test software with the commitment to excellence and defect free product before being deployed.
• Should be able to work closely with all stakeholders to investigate, fix, optimise, test, and deploy high quality solutions.
• Should have hands on understanding of technical design, implementation, and maintenance of technical initiatives towards improving and scaling of products.
• Self-motivated and should rapidly incorporate new requirements and deliver successfully by self.
• Effectively communicates with peers and stakeholders, gathers and clarify requirements from technical & functional aspect.

• Follows software development process; consistently innovates processes to improve individual and team productivity and quality.

• Experience with Agile development lifecycle with excellent understanding of feature estimation and ability to communicate issues and risks that may impact timelines or resources.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 4+ years of IT experience.
• At least 4 years commercial web development experience.
• At least 3 years of Ruby on Rails commercial development experience.
• Familiarity with Relational and Non Relation Databases ( Postgres, Mysql, MongoDb)
• REST API development.
• Familiarity with In Memory Database ( Redis, Memcache )
• Web development - HTML, HTML5 JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, jQuery, http, REST.
• AGILE/SCRUM development Experience.
• Development practices - Rails test framework / TDD / BDD, Domain Driven Design, SOLID, refactoring, OOP design patterns
• Expertise in version control system ( GIT )
• Candidate need to be comfortable dabbling with some basic infrastructure management on AWS.
• Familiarity with ( React, Vue ) is a plus.

Our Engineering team is looking for a Sr. Full-Stack Engineer to join our base in Bangalore, KA. Your key role will be to lead architectural level discussions, define performance upgrades, undertake new initiatives to groom our engineering team and provide valuable insights on all levels. A high level overview of what this role looks like:

Engineering – 50% of time: As a leader, you will be undertaking engineering tasks which are complex in nature and also work on big modules and define the architectural layouts, both on Application, API and Database level.

Problem Solver - 30% of time: Be a Problem Solver, help our Engineering team to come up with a new solution that makes our applications - scalable, high in performance, reliable, and secure. This includes having ability to drive engagement on Engineering and also from DevOps Point of View.
